  1. Looking for suggestions on where to catch or buy wild golden shiners in the jacksonville area. Plenty of farm raised at the bait shops but looking for wild. Wanting to try them out in the local retention ponds. Also open to new fishing partners in the area to pond hop with. Thanks.
  2. Hello does anyone know any good ponds in or around the julingtion creek/fruit cove area. Thank you
  3. Moved to Jacksonville from St. Cloud. I had plenty of lakes and angler friends there and fished many tournaments while I lived there. Recently started fishing the BFL as a coangler. Ive been wanting to fish tournaments with clubs here but I don't know of any and I don't really know anyone in the area. The other issue is if I do find a club I currently don't have a boat and I'm not sure how many folks would be willing to let me fish out the back of theirs. I would be willing to pay half of everything (fees, fuel, hotel, etc). I am a pretty well rounded guy as far as life and fishing goes. If anyone could help steer me in the right direction I would really appreciate it. (I promise not to step on your seats or trash your boat!)
  4. Hello fellow fisherman. I'm mike and i'm new to the form. I've been in Jacksonville Florida for about 4 years now and i'm starting to get back into fishing. I prefer bass and catfish. I've just started fishing in jax in may and haven't had any luck lately. I've fished hanna park and caught 2 nice mullet and a big blue crab but didn't get a single bite from bass. I've also been fishing the fish management area to the past 2 weeks off of university and st. Augustine rd but didn't have any luck there either. If anybody from jax interested in doing some fishing man just let me know i'm all in. Also if you know any good spots around town pleas share i'm willing to travel.
  5. Just recently moved down near Jacksonville, more specifically Sawgrass near Ponte Vedra beach. I was hoping someone could help me out by letting me know of any spots near my area, and what gear I should be using. I've tried fishing a couple different retention ponds inside Sawgrass using everything from jointed lures to plastic worms with no luck whatsoever the past two days. Any help would be much appreciated!
  6. Hey guys I'm in St Augastine Florida for the next two weeks and brought down a couple rods I'm wondering if there are any local ponds/lakes to fish around me, thanks!
  7. Hello all, I've gone to this small lake in southeast jacksonville the past 2 days and got 8 bass yesterday and 6 today. The weather has been warming up and the bite is definitely on! Just got a new AbuGarcia pro max baitcasting reel on a 7' med action Falcon Bucoo micro rod. Literally I used one 5xd StrikeKing crankbait and just worked it along the banks in shallow water and pulled up a ton of bass. Mostly just 1-2 pounders but a few nice 3-4poundrs. It's been kind of a long winter and a slow season so it was nice to enjoy my day off work and break in the new rod on 15+ bass in 2 days. I love this time of year Because the bass just light up on topwater. Still waitin for that 10+ pounder though! Tight lines, Kyle
