Hello
I´m a bankfisherman and I´m looking for a texas rig rod, I mainly fish with a 1/8 - 3/16oz weight plus the plastic bait, sometimes due to the wind factor I go up to a 1/4oz weight. But we all try to cover all the angles and so I think, and if someday I need to use a 5/16 or even a 3/8oz? If I want to fish deeper or further (if this happens it would be very very very, very occasionally). I don´t fish in heavy cover, maybe sometimes in sparse cover. I´m looking to the GLX JWR casting rod line up and I don´t know if I will chosse the 852, the 853 or even the 854...is the 852 the right choice? Can the 853 cast a 1/8oz t-rig and handle a 3/8oz? Will the 854 load a 1/8oz as well? Since I´m a bankfisherman I think a 7´1" rod would be a good choice to improve casting distance, now I only need to choose the rod´s power...I´m leaning toward the 853, am I choosing right? And being so I think the main question is, does the 853´s tip loads well and can cast well a 1/8oz t-rig? What do you guys think? I´ve been searching and reading and still can´t figure it out which of them would be a better choice. Here where I live I can´t go to a shop and handle the rods and since there isn´t an industry standard and every manufacturer has their own concept of rod´s power and action (and I´m not familiar with G. Loomis´rods) I really don´t know what to choose. And also don´t want to wast money in something that isn´t what I´m looking for and need. Can you help me? Give me some input please and shed some light on this. Thanks. Regards.
