  1. I’ve been looking to buy a new rod for jigs/frogs and things of that sort. I decided I want a 7.4 foot heavy action rod, and I’ve been looking at the Diawa Tatula rod, or Favorite Phantom rod. Both are around $150. I was wondering which is the two is better or recommendations of other rods in that price range. Thanks
  2. Anyone tried the reels that Favorite USA makes? What do you think? Give as many reviews of each reel you can!!! Hopefully we can get one for each of their reels.
  3. For those of you who enjoy fishing big swimbaits, what are your top 5 favorite big swimbaits and why are they your favorite?
  4. Hello fellow anglers, I am looking into purchasing a new rod. I want to buy a 7'1-7'3 mh rod for jigging and need help deciding on which company to buy from. I do not want to spent over 80 dollars. Currently I have considered Favorite Rods and No.***. Does any one have anything to say about these brands? Or if you have other suggestions that would be great! Thanks so much!
  5. As the title says, what lure caught you the most fish in 2015? I'm not talking 7 and 10 pounders here, just the sheer number of fish. Ready... GO!
  6. This might have been asked before on the forum, but let's here what you got. For me, time and time again....I catch more fish and have more confidence in a Zoom Magnum Ultravibe Speed Worm. Is it just me or is this worm overlooked as one of the best fish catchers there is? I love a green pumpkin, California 420 & Junebug Red with the tail dipped in Spike-it 90 % of the time. Let's here your go to plastic...I mean the one you find yourself picking up a bag or two every time your at the tackle store. And give a shout out if your a big U-Vibe fan like myself!
  7. Hey all, I was wondering what everyone's favorite tackle boxes are. I use three boxes mainly - A Flambeau box from Dick's - it's one that's about 2 or 3 inches deep, and it's super tough. It was about 12 dollars, but definitely worth it. It's got a back side what's covered in hinges, versus traditional tray boxes with hinges in 2 or 3 spots. It's got these cool 2-stage locks - they're about 4 inches long, and there are three of them. It's blue, my favorite color. Also, it's waterproof with Zerust. In case anyone was wondering, I use this box for frogs The Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifier boxes - I like these because they're cheap, mostly. I think they're normally like 4 dollars, and on sale they're usually like 1 dollar. They are pretty tough, but they don't look too cool. I take out all the dividers in the 360 one and use it to store trick worms. One 360 box is the perfect size to hold 6 packs of trick worms. It's got 2 small latches, but they hold the box together pretty good. The thing I don't like is with a bit of awkward pressure, the hinges come undone. There are only 2 small hinges, too. The ones that come with the Spiderwire tackle bag - These are definitely interesting, and they're a good basic box for just anything, really. You can arrange the dividers practically any way you want, and you get a lot of storage out of the box. The latches are absolute crap, and the hinges are alright. I like how strong the plastic is, and the deeper, rounded corners are also pretty cool (they allow you to store more tackle). Another thing I like is the ruler on top of the box. Well, that ends my post. Let's see what you guys like!
  8. Hey there, i was just wondering what everyone's favorite, most dependable lure is for bass fishing. One that works well when nothing else seems to work, or one that just gets many, and/or big, fish often. A lure that is reliable in pretty much every condition from thick fog, dirty water, clear water, deep holes, shallows, weeds, structure, you name it! Mine would have to be a Gary Yamamoto Senko pumpkin color worm texas rigged on a gamakatsu EWG worm 5/o hook. Share yours! I look forward to this discussion!!!
  9. I havent really tried buzzbaits in the past, and I plan on doing just that this weekend. I have watched Glenn's videos on buzzbaits, And feel that I have a adequate amount of knowledge to hopefully have some success after a little bit of practice. I am going to buy some at Dicks Sporting Goods tomorrow afternoon and would like some input on what to look for. My questions are; What is YOUR favorite buzzbait? What do you do to it to get it ready for fishing? Skirt, or grub?
  10. I started using crankbaits more and i was wondering what you guys do best on also if you like yours silent or rattling
  11. I'm new to this site so I figured Id start a forum on something I wanted to know. So whats everybody's all time favorite spawn and prespawn largemouth bass lures or baits. Any answer is better than no answer.
  12. Seems to be that purple and junebug colored soft plastics work best around where ive been fishing lately. I have been pretty cheap and usually buy the cheapest worms i could get my hands on bc ive been paying off alot of wedding/truck bills. But I want to expand and use what would work best. Im a firm believer in quality or quantity so I need some help on this. So tell me...what is your favorite brand of soft plastics? What works best for you in lowlight conditions as far as plastics?
  13. Its that time of year with summer in the rear view the air is getting cooler by the day and so is the water. As bass begin to move into deeper water to prepare for the winter the fall is one of my favorite times to fish. I have been having great luck on Senkos, lipless cranks, square bills, and my favorite weighted creature baits (Berkley Havoc pit boss, strike king rodents) so i ask you, what has worked for you in the past and what is working for you right now?
  14. Whats your favorite baitcaster for $200 and under?
  15. I ask this question a lot to my friend and got so many different anwsers. So what is your favorite lure/bait? It could be for any reason like it's your go to bait or you got it from someone you love.
