I bought the Falcon Cara Head Turner awhile back and I absolutely love this rod. Just bought the Cara Finesse Jig rod and I’m getting more into Falcon Rods. So I’m reaching out to some of you who have been using their rods for awhile and want to know what some of your favorites are and what you mainly use them for
Also, can not wait for the new Expert Rods to come out in the Fall
Just talked to Falcon on the phone since I could not find the Cara 7’3 Swimbait/Pitchin rod anywhere for sale. Asked if they discontinued the rod and they said they have not had any Caras in stock for the past 4 months and that they aren’t sure if they will ever get any rods back in stock. Hopefully this changes and they will still continue make some rods in the USA, but they told me to try the “Expert” line of rods. Does anyone know if the Expert or Cara rods have a faster tip than the lowrider? I have not used any but the lowrider 20 and 2019 lowrider. They seem to have a bit slower tip than most brands. The reason I wanted the Cara Swimbait/Pitchin rod was bc it was an extra fast. I have an Amistad and was looking at the XH Amistad thinking it might have a stiffer tip. Thanks for any help.
I've been meaning to post this. I was down on Falcon Lake, TX a few weeks ago when I got this 11.38 lb. bass. Caught on 10" worm, half-ounce tungsten weight, 25-pound flouro. line. Fishing in 28 FOW.
My new personal best.
About to purchase new rod for spinning setup. It's my first over 20$ setup. I just bought a lews Tournament speed spin 300. There are major sales right now, and these are my choices. I cannot try them out in stores so am looking for some info on them; experience, flaws, overall value.
-Veritas 2.0, 7ft MH-$65 (reluctant because of breaking history)
-Falcon HD, 7ft M-$69.99
-H20 Express Ethos 6'10 MH-$59.99
-Shimano Clarus, 7ft MH-$49.99
I'm wanting a nice sensitive rod that won't break the bank, I'm thinking the $100 mark will get me something nice. I will use this rod primarily for shallow and medium depth crankbaits and lipless crankbaits. I may use it for topwater treble baits and jerkbaits but that will be 2nd to crankbaits. Currently I am looking at the Ducket Ghost 7' M crankin rod, and a falcon BuCoo micro guide 7' MM. I felt both of these rods the other day at BPS and although I liked both I could tell their action was a little different from each other. I own a falcon BuCoo micro guide 7' M spinning rod that is supposed to be for shaky heads and similar presentations but I find myself cranking with it since I don't have a baitcaster crankbait setup and I definitely like the rod but I'm ready for a designated cranking casting rod. What do yall think of these rods? Which would you choose? Is there a better option for the same price? Both rods were comfortable and light, what's your thoughts?
Just as the title says, what are your opinions on the Falcon BuCoo Casting Rods?
The application is the rod being utilized as an all around bass fishing tool.
I have the opportunity to fish one of these lakes in the Spring. I am looking for input on which lake I should choose and if I should go earlier in February or later in March on these waters. I'm looking at the last week in February or the first week in March. This may be my only chance to do this so I don't want to mess it up. Need some input! Thanks!
So i've been browsing for some rods in and around the $100 pricepoint. I have came across Falcon rods over the internet and i was wondering how they are. No one around my area sells them. I'm looking at the Falcon Original's in Spinning and Baitcasting. I was wondering if these rods are good, especially in sensitivity, balance, quality, etc. Also if you could compare them to other rods what would you compare them too. The main one I'm looking at now is a spinning in med. light which says its great for Shad Raps and like light line finesse applications i would assume.
If you could help me out that would be great!
Thanks
