  1. I am new to bass fishing and have been doing lots of research. I've watched YouTube videos, read books, and talked to locals about a good way to start catching bass. I've tried most of them yet still am not catching bass. I fish from the bank in water with maybe a foot or 2 of visibility on a good day. I have 2 rods, a 6' medium spinning rod, and a 6'6 medium heavy baitcaster. I want to get 2 lures or rigs and stick with them till I feel I am as close to mastering them as I can. I lack the patience most of the time for senkos so what two should I pick up and stick with? Thanks, Christian
  2. Hey guys, im matt. 16 from Vancouver wa. Ive been fishing since the age of 3. And I just recently got really addicted to bass fishing. But in Vancouver there isn't a lot of really hot bass spots. I still have yet to catch a bass on a lure. I have always wanted to buy I never have been able to... So I need some help. I need somewhere that is about 15 miles away at the most. That is a real easy spot. And I need to know what to use. Thanks. HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!
  3. I'm a beginner, trying for largemouths for a while now, but no luck. Been to a lot of bass sites, read a lot of magazines--Bassmaster, Bass Angler, FLW--and also watched some videos (like Bigmouth), but still haven't hooked into one yet. I'm not trying to land trophies at this point, just hoping to have some fun. Do you know any really easy spots from the shore/bank? I'm pretty much land-bound. Looking for anywhere up to a two-hour drive from Oakland--anything around the Greater Bay Area or Delta, etc. I was on another forum (which will remain nameless ), but all the members could give me were general bodies of water (like "I heard Discovery Bay, Shadow Cliffs, etc. was good"...). I appreciate the advice, but I don't have the skills yet to identify potential spots by sight (though I've tried really hard). And, so, I've decided I should try to ask on other forums as well. If you don't mind, I'd be truly grateful to hear about some of the productive places you fished. If you have specific locations with descriptive landmarks to make them easier to find that would be great! God bless!
