  1. I'm looking into getting a new setup for chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, and other open hook moving baits. So far I've narrowed it down to two rods and thee reels. The rods are the Daiwa Tatula XT cranking rods in a 7' MH reg. glass rod, and a Denali Jadewood J2 7' MH mod. I don't know much about glass rods, any tips or advice? The reels are the Lews Speed Spool LFS, the Lews Mach I Speed Spool, and the Shimano Casitas 150. I notice the Mach I weighs half an ounce more, yet has a deeper spool, whereas the Casitas has less line capacity than both reels. Any thoughts on what to get or anything about the equipment? Thank you.
  2. When it comes to chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, etc. I'm looking at two rods: the Dobyns Fury 7' med hvy power moderate fast action and the Denali Jadewood J2 7' med hvy power mod action. Any opinions, thoughts, etc.?
  3. Picked up a Denali Lithium L843CB on the bay. It was brand new but had a broken tip. I practically stole it $22 + $10 shipping. So I called Denali and spoke to Pete to see about what tip to use and to see if I could buy one from them. I told him I bought it 2nd hand and understood it wasn't covered by warranty, but he insisted that if I'd just ship them the rod they would repair or replace it for me. He didn't even want return shipping. Packed it up and sent it off a week and a half ago - just got it back today good as new. Just wanted to give them a shout out for such outstanding customer service. they have definitely gained a customer! Have not been able to take it out yet, but it is very light and feels great. I'm looking forward to fishing it, and will update here when I do.
  4. just snapped my denali j2 rod about 6 guides down. has never been stepped on and put away after using it. i got it june last year only used it a couple months before i stopped my fishing season. this year ive used it a few times. went out to a pond to mess around. and snap it 6 eyes down while setting the hook on a 3 lb bass (managed to get the fish in) not sure if i want to exchange it, return it and get a duckett. or return it and get a couple diawa or berkley rods. i really liked the feel of the rod and the sensitivity. not sure what happened. would you switch or exchange it? i have a couple other denalis but have no issues with them
  5. Everyone on here knows i am straight up true blue Denali rods believer. But recently ive been stumped. I am in the market for a jig Rod, price is not too big of an issue since i can get a good discount through the college team on tackle warehouse. I'm looking for a 7'3" of a 7'4" rod. i would preferably go with a heavy action. Im really considering the Noirwood slop rod but its an extra heavy. and on here on the coosa i fish some 3/8 oz jigs alot and sometime 5/16 oz. its rated for a 3/8 oz i just wanna make sure i can feel it. this rod will also be used for my jigs as big as 3/4 too. I'm trying to find a sweet medium that will do it all. and i want sensitivity for sure. if anyone has fished the Slop rod please let me know your input. But i might just be willing to break away to a different brand for just this rod even though its hard. i'm super picky about my jig rods so if anyone has anything they would suggest or any info on the slop rod i would greatly appreciate it!
  6. Alright so I have an *** in 7'1" mh casting.. I love it, sensitive and very powerful. I use it for plastics and jigs. I was wondering if the Jadewood is more sensitive than the 13, or stronger, etc etc. So please give me your opinions. I'm looking around for rods that i can stick with the line up. So if the Jadewood doesnt stack up I will continue to purchase Omens. Thank you
