  1. I am 16 years old and have a 14’ jon boat with a 9.9hp. I am obsessed with bass fishing and taking my boat out whenever I can. I have gotten to know Fountainhead, Bull Run, and the Occoquan river with consistent luck, pretty much going every weekend that I can. I have done some club tournaments in the past but looking for something with smaller entry fee’s. A smaller club tournament where I could either use my jon boat or fishing as a co angler. Again looking for a tournament with small entry fees in the Northern Va area or within 45 minutes of Fairfax Virginia. Thanks, James P
  2. I'm in a club tourney weekly and I'm struggling to catch 5 keepers. Here's the broad overview: Location: lower michigan Lakes: natural and weedy <500 acres Time: 3 hours 6pm-9pm Keepers: 14 inches Winning weights: 10-13 lbs Number of boats: 15-25 I have a partner with limited fishing knowledge that relies on me to put us on fish and even what baits to use and how to use them. We have only caught 5 keepers one time out of the first 4 tourneys. My strategy started with us covering a lot of water and bouncing from one spot to another. After only catching one fish like that, decided to start focusing on 2 or 3 spots only. I try to prefish the lake and find 2 or 3 spots where I think we can catch fish. Most of these spots are between 10 and 15 feet deep. The lakes are generally not deeper than 25 feet. I have my partner using the ned rig and he is gaining confidence in it. I too have been using the ned rig or drop shot most of the time. These are my confidence baits and we are catching lots of fish just not the right size. So with this information, what should I change in our strategy in order to catch 5 keepers consistently. I believe if we can just catch 5 keepers we would have a chance at the money.
  3. Small "team tournament" club based in Newark, DE is looking for a few new boating teams for the 2018 season. Our dues and entry fees are low ($25-$30) to keep things fun. We will not exceed 8 boats for this club (just a nice manageable number for the area). Good club for experienced and novice sticks alike. We fish Saturday's March - November (12 tournaments plus end of year "classic") at locations ranging from DE public ponds to the Upper Bay to Lake Anna (last year's end of year tournament). If you're interested, please reach out and say hello. We'd love to get a few more teams added by our first derby date(March 24th).
  4. Anyone on here know any clubs or friendly weekend tournamants that are anywhere close to the hilton head/beaufort area? It seems the only groups or clubs i can find around here are for redfish or offshore. I am an outfitter at a fishing/golf plantation down here and am just trying to get involved in a bass fishing group in the area. If not, I am willing to start something if we get some people involved. Everyone is welcomed. Any ideas?
  5. Hey there everyone! I currently live in a smaller town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and I am interested in joining a bass fishing club / group type thing. The thought crossed my mind to create my own in my area, however working a full time job, twelve days on and two off, that idea was shot down quickly as I got a taste of reality haha. So I decided to reach out to Bass Resource to maybe help me locate a group / club. What I am looking for in a group / club: ✓ Great member base (Down to earth, kind, fun, easy to get along with) ✓ Member involvement (Members are engaged in the group / club) ✓ Social Media Presence (Communication, expansion, and presence on social media / the internet) ✓ Serious about the art of fishing (Has a passion for fishing, and respects everything fishing represents) What I can offer: ✓ Graphic design services (Logos, banners, headers; just about anything you can put an image on ) ✓ Knowledge of the industry (Brands, marketing, etc) ✓ Social media management ✓ Website creation / management I am very enthusiastic about the sport of fishing. I want nothing more than to share my passion with others who wish the same. I am looking for a great bunch of guys / gals who I can interact with and have a good time. I appreciate any replies!! Tight lines and full live wells everyone!! If you wish to contact me, please get ahold of me on Facebook, or shoot me and email: Facebook : www.facebook.com/MindofKurt Email : KurtParis@Live.com
  6. Hello I'm really interested in joining a bass fishing club. I live in the north metro own a boat and can fish evening and weekends.
  7. Hey guys, my name is Daniel Brennan and I live in Macon, Ga. I'm obviously new lol. I recently got back into fishing big time over the past year and currently need help rebuilding tackle and realllly need some places to fish, if anyone knows of any privates ponds or lakes they wouldn't mind me using, that'd be freaking awesome. I am a Afghanistan war veteran and still serve the Georgia Army National Guard. Feel free to message me at 4789547758 about going fishing or any waters I can have access to! Good day gents
  8. I have recently noticed that all my friends no longer fish because they have moved on to family and job commitments and I am happy for them. I fish almost everyday...mainly what I claim to be "Southside Suburban Pond Fishing". I have met a few loners on the ponds around here and it seems like they are all in the same boat as me...mostly fishing by themselves. I would like to up my fishing game quite a bit but frankly I can only teach myself so much. I fish to relax and enjoy the outdoors mostly but don't get me wrong if I go home skunked I am in a bad mood. So I guess if anyone wants to join me or hit me up on facebook to go fishing sometime I welcome the company and different points of view on how to fish and be successful. I have been fishing since I was 3 so I have plenty of skills...I am just looking for some cool people to hang out and shoot the stuff with every once in a while. I am unaware of any formal clubs around Green Country that offer just a kick back semi competitive vibe. I welcome any comments, suggestions, and or leads on any recreational clubs around. My email is chazzbobuck@aol.com if anybody is interested. Thanks for your time and maybe I will see you out there.
  9. Hey guys, I was just wondering if there was any clubs in the area. We're along the Mississippi and there's tons of great fishing so I imagine there is a few. Any info would be appreciated! Thabks!
  10. I'm going to be moving from Arizona to Garner, NC soon and am curious to know if there are any midweek or weekday bass clubs around Garner, Raleigh, Cary, etc....area? I will be working pretty much all weekends and can really only fish weekdays. Please let me know if you know of any such organizations. Thank you. Brian Jacobson
  11. I've been wanting to club fish so bad but the only club in my area isn't really for me because the guys that are in it are more on the biggity side im more relaxed and talk to everyone i meet and treat them like family kinda person. They aren't like that. But moving on I wanna know what it would take to start a simple club not a tournament based club but just to have fun with people who love to fish and maybe put on our own local tournaments. Anyone have advice or had luck with things like this im wide open for ideas.
  12. Hi, looking to join a fishing club or finding a fishing buddy. I have the boat so if anyone can help please write back. Bob
  13. Hey guys, just made this post to let you know that the Chippewa Valley Bass Attack is looking for members. We have a team format, and generally fish lakes within an hour and a half of Eau Claire. As a team, we fish for a 5 fish limit so if you're a boater and want to fish alone, you can still compete. The Bass Attack is a B.A.S.S affiliated group that is part of the Federation Nation. For those of you unfamiliar with this, it means you are able to fish a series of tournaments (a kind of playoff format) that if you place high enough in, will earn you a trip to The Bassmasters Classic. This will be my 3rd year in the club and I've gotta say the members are all pretty stand up guys, not to mention they can fish! If you want to know more about us, check out our website at http://www.chippewavalleybassattack.com If you have any questions, you can always hit me up on here and I'll get you the info you need or put you in touch with someone who can.
  14. I will be moving to Ofallon, IL next year and was looking at my local bass club options up there. Any suggestions?
