  1. I got these goby colored senkos that will get a ton of smallmouth in the islands and canal but they are usually in water past 10ft deep and since a jig is the best way to weight a wacky worm my question is how heavy of a jig for a wacky worm in the following depth 10ft plus 20ft plus 30ft 40 and the current of the st Lawrence Also what brand jigs
  2. Hello All I have just joined and I'm looking for some advice on smallmouth fishing in the Western Finger Lakes. I will be bringing my kayak up this weekend and I'm looking for the best shot at catching some good sized smallies. I was up there last year and got to fish for about an hour before monsoon rains ran me off Canadice for the rest of the day. I did manage a couple of nice LM, but couldn't find any smallies. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Would it be helpful to bring my fishfinder on these lakes? Any other suggestions on lakes within 1.5 hours drive from there would also be welcomed. Thanks! Tim
