  1. Hey guys, I am new to these forums, so I apologize if I did not post this correctly the first time. Hey guys, I am new to the forum here, but have used it for ideas and different mods on my Pelican Bass Raider 10E, so thank you for all of that. I was wondering if anyone has had any issues with the 8AWG wiring that is pre-wired in the boat. I have mine set up so that I can run my 55lb thrust MinnKota Traxxis in the back of the boat, and keep the battery up front. I am a big boy (275lbs on a good day), so as I stand towards the back/center, I can keep the extra weight of the 12V battery up front to keep things balanced. I recently purchased the TM plug to utilize the wiring inside. my second time out, the 40amp inline fuse melted, but didn't pop the fuse. After reading up on this, it seemed that this might have been because of a poor connection inside the fuse. To replace it I purchased and am waiting on a 40amp inline flat fuse holder which I am going to install upfront, closer to the battery. My concern however is that the 55lb TM may push too much amperage for the length of the 8AWG wire and the 40amp flat fuse i just purchased. Has anyone had any issues after switching to a new flat fuse with the fuse constantly popping, or still with the fuse holder melting. Any help would be appreciated from the #plasticboatnation!!! Thanks, Dennis
  2. Finally joined this forum. Retired rocket scientist starting another hobby. FISHING !! I live in Southeast Louisiana, Sportsman's Paradise, and haven't fished since I was a kid. I tried boat building but gave up on a half finished wood boat when other issues halted the work. It's now upside down and serves as a work table Wife just hates my 'projects' so I bought a Bass Raider 10E, a 3.5HP Mercury, and an 8 ft utility trailer. Somehow managed to even turn that into a project. I've been scanning the various threads here and expect to spend time reading as well as posting the 'Mods' I've completed on this BR 10E. I read all 129 pages of the Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There? But thinking about a new thread about my modifications and fishing progress as we learn. Anyway, thanks for having me, I promise not start fights about politics and such RV

  4. I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I just bought a used Coleman Perch it looks just like the sundolphin sportsman. The seat brackets are all rusted and the only thing reusable is the plastic seat. Any idea where to buy them it looks like they stopped selling them. Any help is appreciated!

  7. The reason i'm asking is that my friend and I have talked about the possibility of holding a small bass tournament for us guys that have little pond jumpers, and can't compete with the big boys and there big motors. It would be like a 5 hr tourney, trolling motor only, somewhere here in the Cape Coral area. Don't have any real details yet, but just trying to see who might be interested in something like this.
