Looking to fill a spot with a rod, and having a hard time deciding what fits the bill, Dobyns 745dx or 795 flip, Original plan was to pick up a BCR894 but that opputinity is gone now.
The rod would mainly be used for flipping/pitching 3/8oz up to 3/4 jigs/ Texas rigs into medium to heavy cover. Grass, pads, fallen timber and the odd submurged trees. But also be used for punching matts/thicker grass the odd time 1oz- 1/2oz. I have heard of guys punching with the 795, but not sure if it is cut out to do so. last but not least it has been mentioned to me that the 795 loves braid, 745 better suied using fluro?
Any thought, suggestions?
