  1. Fished in my boat for the first time this year today. Me and my friends managed to get 10 fish total, 7 of them were caught before the rain started. Caught on jigs, shallow cranks and red eye shads.
  2. 5 inch wacky rigged senko
  3. Yeah it will be fine, my friend only fishes with a ugly stick and everything seems to work on it. He fishes lots of crankbaits and does very well with it.
  4. Still some ice in Mass, managed to catch a fish in about 20 ft of open water, probably by this weekend we should be all clear. Your so close!!!
  5. Watermelon white laminate
  6. Sounds like a great trip, we still have ice in northeast Mass but sunday I was able to fish in about 20 ft of open water and managed one fish on a jig. Get excited soon enough they will be feeding up.
  7. Never lost one but recovered my Dads combo when trolling for trout, only a couple minutes after he dropped it in the water. Very lucky day
  8. I have a medium action St. Croix Avid and I use it for all plastics and jigs that aren't getting thrown in heavy cover, and it works great
  9. Looks great keep it up
  10. Here in Mass we have about another inch or two of ice on the ponds, so close. May try to get out on the river this weekend, but the water is still pretty darn cold
  11. One piece,I have an avid and fits perfectly in most cars. You want the most sensitivity and one piece will provide that.
  12. If your looking for a good crankbait try Lucky Craft. They may be expensive but the action on them is amazing and they are made out of really high quality materials. Also Rapala DT's are great crankbaits and cheaper.
  13. Lucky Craft Rapala X Rap thats all I use
  14. I agree 100% with you. I have gone to the store multiple times and literally no one in the fishing department can tell me anything besides the basics (there is the occasional person who knows a little more than the average person walking into bps). As for the spring classic I am not even making the effort to go down there if they are just going to disregard the Foxboro store. Personally I think I will stick with ***.
  15. Great! I love the look of your jigs
  16. Red eye shad, color depending on where I am fishing
  17. Its a little slow but still loads completely
  18. I recently bought an avid and its great, really worth the extra money. If you already like the st croix you have why not buy another. They really are great.
  19. Core 50MG7 can't beat shimano's reliability
  20. Most of my family on my dads side has fished or fishes, although they are mostly trout fishermen. I feel like I am the lone serious bass fishermen, good that I have friends to fish with.
  21. I have used the 4 inch version for about a year now and I really like it. It has caught me fish and has held up really well. I am assuming the 5 inch has pretty similar action compared to the 4 inch, its just bigger.
  22. Its at the point were if I see a fishing show on tv I get mad and switch the channel even though I love fishing shows. Just seeing other people fishing has made me extremely mad. I also have at least one fishing dream per week and I am constantly looking over my tackle and imagining fishing it.
  23. There was one last year, I am sure a post will pop up somewhere with the link.
  24. Jigs and spinnerbaits are my main focus for the coming year
