  1. Is it possible to troll in a canoe with one person padleling and one person fishing. Would you have enough speed to keep and action as in a motor boat trolling?
  2. I went fishing today and on wed in a normal pond near where I live. Earlier in the summer I was catching about 10 bass a trip, but now as it has gotten hotter the spots (with plenty of cover) that I normally fished gave me little success. Does anyone have any ideas how and where to find the fish. I go in a canoe not a motor boat so I can't really troll the deep places. Can anyone help?
  3. yea I have good experience with an ugly stick but I have used spinning reels mostly and I know some baitcasters but I really don't have a clue what kind to buy. Great ideas so far, more are welcomed
  4. I want to get a new bait casting rod and reel but with so many items on the market I don't know what to get. I don't want to spend over $250 and I want a quality baitcasting reel and rod. Anyone have any suggestions?
  5. Ok thanks guys
  6. I was recently trolling with rapalas for smallies. I had great success but I would have brought in alot more fish if the fish hadn't let go of the lure. I don't get it I set the hook and checked the hooks over and over they were all sharp. I don't understand how the bass could get the rapala in its mouth and not get hooked. Anyone have any suggestions?
  7. Ok well I have a few rapalas laying around so I might try to throw those out. I like using the senkos and I have great succes just wanna see if i catch anything on something different. In the specfic pond I have only caught bass on senkos and hula grub but I will keep seeing what works
  8. I have been having good luck with senkos at a pond near where I live, but I would like to get the feel of some other tackle, I have used poppers and spinner bait and have had no luck. Any Ideas?
  9. I like Bassmasters on espn and Bill Dance shows Quick question is there any specific channel that is all fishing?
  10. I really like using the 4 inch for wacky rigging it almost works better and instead of o rings I use small black zip ties which are cheaper and they hold the worm alot better
  11. Well I just want something with different types of colors and alot of each, I think 40 would be enough. I wouldn't want alot of just one color
  12. I found a site that has the senkos in bulk and its the online Gary Yamamoto catalog, check it out http://media.baits.com/catalog/2007-gycb-catalog.pdf It clearly says on page 18 that they are selling a pack of 40 senkos, i'm really confused
  13. Wait how much do you guys pay for a pack of 10 senkos, I pay $6.49
  14. Does anyone know any websites were I can buy gary yamaoto senkos in bulk, I have heard that you can get packs of 5 different colors and more than 20 worms but I can't seem to find any in bulk only in 10 packs.
  15. Yea I like to fish this weightless and just let it sink to the bottom and if nothing strikes give the rod a small jerk to make it hop off the bottom. Works great, I like white with black spots in it. Good luck
  16. Hey I was just wondering if anyone know an fishing tournements in Eastern Mass for teenagers, I don't think I would be ready for a full scale adult tournement.
  17. I was fishing with my friend and he casted and snaged on a overhanging tree. Some how the bait dropped into the water and all of a sudden he had a bass through the tree. luckily there was 2 people becuase one had to untangle the line from the tree and one had to get the bass off the hook. haha it was really funny, I didn't believe my friend when he said he had a fish. I laughed so hard
  18. This is so true fish wacky rigged with the senkos, and to keep them in very good condition use a o ring or zip tie in the middle of the worm so you don't have to insert the hook into the worm. And don't be ticked if you feel a strike but then you don't get the fish, I was fishing and felt a strike and thought I had set the hook and had the fish, but as I reeled in I lost it. I was very ticked and did nothing then all of a sudden boom I had the same fish again. It was a nice 4 pounder. You just have to have patience and practice, even on your lawn or driveway practice casting it helps. Good Luck
  19. How do you fish creature baits, what type of rig do you use, and retrieving style?
  20. Ok although t rigging is a very good way to catch fish I perfer to fish wacky rigging with gary yamoto senkos, Color depends on water color. I have been most succesful with pumpkin and watermelon colored. If you don't understand wacky rigging check out this http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1121527643 It will give you all the info on fishing senkos which I perfer to fish more than any worm, hope it helps
  21. Ok I fished wacky rig with a Gary Yamoto for smallies and I had great success. They seem to like the watermelon colored and the pumpkin colored worms. I know it has been explained what wacky rigging was but a tip to keep worm in good condition after multiple strikes is to get a small black o-ring with a tool such the ones you can find bass pro shops (just search O-Wacky Tool) This is be far the best way to fish senkos and gets you many strikes ;D
  22. How were you rigging the worms, also what brand and color?
  23. Thanks, I will continue to research mega strike more but having peoples opinons who have used it helps
  24. I have seen alot of bass pros using it does it work?
  25. Does it really make a difference tieing the bait on rather than using a clip.
