  1. Thanks for the suggestions, keep them coming. I was also wondering if anyone has tried ABT Lure Company Swimbaits. Some of them look very good and they aren't too pricey. Here is the link http://www.***.com/catpage-SWMABT.html
  2. Hey guys, I thinking about trying some hard swimbaits soon and I was just wondering what you guys think are most reliable and catch fish. Thanks for ur input cause i'd hate to spend all that money on one and have it have terrible action.
  3. My dad mostly and all the people on bassresource who give me lots of tips. ;D
  4. Nice swimbait, I liked how u took us through the whole process of making it. Keep us posted and I hope to hear about u catching some nice fish on it.
  5. Great fish, i'm jealous
  6. I used a orange spoon, which caught me three trout in the evening and a rapala which caught me a trout in the morning. These trout fought alot but only when they got close to the boat. You would have a little resistance reeling them in but then once they got 10 yards from the boat they would take off. Alot of fun
  7. Caught these Lake Trout last week. All caught trolling with lead core line. sorry they are sideways can't figure out how to turn them
  8. Daredevil's and other spoons
  9. Also say a weekend warrior trying to fly fish in a small stream with a spinning reel and rod. I just continued on dieing of laughter.
  10. Just a thought I stopped using o rings when my dad got me onto using zip ties. They are alot cheaper and they hold the worm tighter. As for a hook set I agree with almost everyone else
  11. Look at cabelas and bps they have some nice scales that are affordable. I personally have a 50lb cabelas digital scale that was $20. Works great except for the hook should be sharper for the fish to hang on. but all in all its a great scale.
  12. I know how u feel Oh and great drawing
  13. i've seen people fishing off a bridge into a river using a spool of line with a pencil through it. they had a hook on the end of the line but it didn't look like they had any bait on it.
  14. ZOOM
  15. never had that happen to me, but I have had my share of lures hitting me or coming very close to me
  16. 5 inch senko watermelon
  17. Hey guys, I have been fishing this one pond for about a year now and I have only had success with soft plastics. I'm happy with the fish I catch on soft plastics but I wanna gain more experience in some other techniques. Do u guys have any ideas what other lures or techniques would work in this pond. There is pretty solid lily pad cover around the pond, at the deepest the pond is about 10 feet deep. The water is also very stained and is full of underwater cover along the shoreline. I have used crankbaits and spinnerbaits with no success.
  18. I have only done pond fishing this season so far and I average about 10 fish a trip. But soon i will be lake fishing and in lakes i tend to catch about 20 fish. but it depends on the conditions and it varies alot
  19. Just from my experiance I have found that clips work alot better than o rings becuase they are cheaper and the worm doesn't get pulled out of them like it did when I used o rings.
  20. any variation of watermelon but it mostly depends on water clarity
  21. Frogs worked great for me last trip and senkos also did
  22. I have the natural green spro frog and I used it for the first time yesterday and it was incredible. for about the first 10 cast I got about 8 hits. I'm not the most experienced frog fishermen so I couldn't land them, but next time I know I will be able to them now that I got the feel of the frog. I'm using a slow to medium retrieve with the aggressive pop. The fish seemed to hit right after the frog popped. I got more hits along banks with trees and other plants along them than around lily pads. I'll be using the frog again wed afternoon so I will let you guys know how I do.
  23. great fish, wish i could catch bass like that up north
  24. Hey guys just curious to know when you caught ur pb largemouth and comment if guys want on how u caught it
  25. try a wacky rigged senko, that always works for me in ponds
