Probably because I didn't receive your payment until Tuesday or Wednesday. I was at Vanderbilt in Nashville until yesterday afternoon. You made me wait 10 days for payment and I never said a word. Can't you give me a few days to get it out? Lee.MD paid with a check, and my bank has only cleared it this morning. It takes 7 - 10 days for my bank to clear out of state checks, and I received it 7 days ago.

While fishing on Kentucky Lake in the summer of 2006 I caught an early Jack Daniels Distillery Bottle. It was clear glass, had a wire around the neck, and that's what my hook got ahold of. I had the bottle appraised and it was appraised at $450! I sold it at an auction for $800.

Last I heard ... Dave Stewart predicted the spawn for around April 15th. We'll see! I'll be there.

Pick up a Rick Clunn, an Extreme, or a Kevin Van Dam setup from BPS. You won't be disappointed. I love all three, and they are in the affordable price range.

If you find yourself smoking again in the near future then go to the doctor and get a prescription for Chantix. It blocks the nicotine receptors in your brain so even if you do smoke .... you won't like it! It works! I couldn't quit without it. I enjoy smoking too darn much. ;D

I talked to Dave Stewart at Kentucky Lake yesterday, and he seems to think somewhere between the second week of April to the 20th or 21st will be prime time. Watch your lakes water temps. When the water gets above 55 degrees for 2 or 3 consecutive days you will start to see activity.

Pre-Spawn and Spawn are really good times to fish if you know how to fish them! I love fishing Spawn beds using a Carolina rigged with a Yum Crawdad plastic.

Just remember that the more HP you buy the more fuel you will be buying too. I have an Evinrude 200hp on my 20 ft. Skeeter, and there are times when I wish I had a 150hp motor! There is the other thing that gets me here locally. I can't fish 2 popular smaller impoundments 4 months out of the summer because it has a 150hp MAX allowed motor size limit on it. I miss fishing there from Memorial Day to Labor Day, because I will get a ticket if I use my outboard there, and I surely don't want to troll around all the time!

Hmm... High 50's Saturday and mid 60's on Sunday. Fishing with Bud and CJ on Kentucky and Barkley lakes. Smallmouth are on fire and in size; largemouth have their feedbag on for pre-spawn. Gentlemen...Start your engines! 8-) The only problem is that the winds on both lakes are supposed to be 20 to 30 mph. Hope you bring your surf board. ;D Add me to the Largemouth category. I'm game! Also, is everyone working on the 'honor system' here? I'll have a date stamp on my pics, but how do we know that no one is digging up 5 year old pics?

You must live in Evansville. ;D I love the Evansville Gander Mountain. They have just the right amount of stuff, and their prices beat the socks off of Bass Pro in Clarksville hands down.

Best advice I can give you for fishing Lake Cumberland is to bring your life jackets! They have a Nazi for a conservation officer down there. One weekend he stopped around 350 boats to check for compliance. He's a real believer in 'flexing his muscles' if you know what I mean. Jason Quinn did a good show on Cumberland last year. If you can't get them to bite in the low end head for the deeper water, and bounce a spoon for awhile. I've had a little luck doing this over the years.

If you don't have the money for the paper maps, and you don't already have a GPS there is another way. Actually two. The first would be to buy the GPS I just listed in the 'Flee Market' section for a steal. ;D The second would be to download and print FREE USGS topo maps from http://terraserver-usa.com/default.aspx. The paper maps aren't as handy as having a GPS, but they work in a pinch. I had a site for free marine maps not too long ago, but I lost it. I'll see if I can't find it later this week.

That just goes to show what happens when you're strapped to a cubicle in your 9 to 5 job at the office. I did my time with that during college. I'll never again ride a desk for a living. You work 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, you spend 570,000 hours of your life at a job you hate, you get to spend half that with your family, when you hit 65 they throw you a party if you're lucky, and give you a gold watch! ;D Then in a couple of weeks they forget who you are, as if you'd ever go back to visit, and you're now 65. Then when you think you're 'retired' you start spending 2 days a week in the doctors office, and it hits you that you've worked your life away! Something is wrong with today's society. :

Run a couple of bottles of Sea Foam in the tank at your next fill up. Also, after running to empty on the tank full of Sea Foam change the plugs. Another thing you can check while doing this is to take off the distributor cap, and see if the distributor rotor is fouled up. If it is you should change it. If you check all of these you won't have anymore problems. Trust me! These are all cheap fixes for a problem most people are making more difficult than what it is. You can do everything I've listed for less than $30. Auto parts stores will tell you the worse case scenario, because they want to sell you the parts when they don't need replacing. Do what I said, and everything will be fine afterwards.
