  1. here are some pics from my fishing trip i took today. the lake was non boater friendly so i had to bank fish but i show the guys you dont need a boat to be a pro. sorry i took the pics with my cell phone so quality suffers a lil bit
  2. bought one last week and havent had time to put it to a good test but the action looks pretty nice it could have some potential
  3. jim thats pretty light and its true you gotta hold on tight sometimes cuz you dont have the feel of that bulky rod reel combo that gives you extra grip. I know my reel is 5.5 oz and im not sure bout my rod but its pretty darn light for a 7'1''
  4. Im not big on tubes but when i fish them i use almost the same idea as in the pic only difference is the weight on my jig head is longer not as ballish
  5. you may think its wierd but i put on parts of used senkos that cant be used alone due to damage. i just rip the bad part off and put it as a trailer for my spinnerbaits it gives them some different action when i drop the bait
  6. well im the only one i have to feed im only 21 so i guess im ok for right now btw the set up is so light it kinda scares me
  7. i just found a box of these Owners jigs at a garage sale and i love them they are super light and so strong i pulled in a log the size of my leg in without bending the hook. i cant find them anywhere else so if anyone sees them let me and the original poster know thnx
  8. Ok today i went out and bought my second steez rod from daiwa for $325 i won my first along with a steez reel in my last tourney but i needed a new rod for my viento since i broke it bringing in a 30lb snapping turtle. well im gonna get to the point do you think my addiction of fishing is a little overboard or do you guys agree with my rule "gotta get the best of everything" P.S IM NOW BROKE!!!!
  9. invisable or not i tried it a while back and hated it. the diameter of 12 lb test felt like 30 lb and the line has so much memory its hard to keep it tightly spooled on my spool this stuff just isnt limp at all i give it 2 thumbs down and even two big toes down as well
  10. like we all say never be scared to try something and if it works then tell us so we can try it too. Nothing is not worth trying in bass fishing
  11. its a good idea if possible for you to keep them in the factory bag. the reasons being with most baits the salt and smell of the bait is kept in the bag so if you take them out they are less salty and have less smell and reason 2 some baits need that sealed bad due to drying out. the factory bag is made to keep your bait moist and covered in the "lubricant" they were made with. in other words if you keep them in the bag they last longer and will have more scent salt and in return be more productive
  12. these bait are meant to be retreived slow and i means SLOW there great for bass and waleye and others most are made with a feather or hair skirt but you can put anything on them just reel it in slow
  13. yeah if you can only get a decent cast with a 3/8 once lure then something is wrong with either your reel or with you using it. are you comfortable with the reel and have the anti backlash off? i can cast a 1/8 about 40 feet average with my cheapest baitcaster. it doesnt sound like a lure weight problem.
  14. i would never buy anything but the old timers like rapala, rebel or cotton cordel the shallow shad rap has put way toooo many in the boat to change and the old fast trac (the ones that are discontinued) are easy like catching a minnow with a dip net
  15. all gold cotton cordel spot or perch color they both are nice only thing is i cant find anywhere that sells the size and color i like
