  1. Thanks guys, I had a friend asking me for advice on a purchase and I thought the same thing as you guys have said. I just wanted a good balanced feedback before I opened my mouth to him.
  2. 9lb'er easy. That would be a personal best and a replica would definately be purchased.
  3. This is for a friend of mine so I would say as many applications as you can use it for.
  4. Very nice pups, I am sure you have your hands full.
  5. You have $250 to spend on a combo. Which is more important to you, the rod or the reel? My thinking is the rod. If you have other thoughts please let me know.
  6. With everything in the media generally being negative I thought I would post this. I ran across this today and it kinda restores my faith in mankind. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncaa/news/story?id=6100855

  8. How did the tourn go?
  9. Yeah I got the HD unit, I had some reward points to spend and I got the 10% military discount at bps. The fish ID thing was just funny to me with how the salesman was trying to get me to upgrade to a more expensive unit. The HD unit was more expensive, but I thought that if I got one of the forementioned units that I would want to upgrade so I just went ahead and spend the extra.
  10. I was looking at these at bps before I decided to go with a 798. The guy at bps said they didn't have fish id, which to me I guess could be a good thing.
  11. I don't dislike the steelers, and for the most part their fans are some of the best people I ever met. For some reason though when they won their last two superbowls everyone was a steelers fan. I hate bandwagon fans. The Steelers and the Pats are by far the two teams with the most. That being said I think I am kinda neutral this year on who I want to win.
  12. Just bought a 06 tracker 175. Then a HB 798 along with a navionics chip and a new motorguide for it.

    The Keurig

The only problem that I had with mine, ( well not really a problem ) was with using the cup for store bought coffee. The coffee would come out of the spout in a wider stream and spray on the counter. There was an easy fix for this online by just taking a rubber ring and putting it around the seal. I love it and am ready to try some of the other flavors.
  14. Those micro chipped keys are rediculous. I was trying to get a spare for my mustang. They wanted 85 for the key. Then another 150 to program it to the car. I ended up having to pay for the programming but bought a good key on ebay.
  15. I am by no means an expert, but I would take it to an auto zone type store and ask them to run a OBD ( On Board Diagnostic) on it to see what codes pop up. I think most of them are doing this for free now.

    The Keurig

The wife and I got one as a Christmas present from my parents, its very practical for us as the wife drinks decaf and I don't. I think my new favorite flavor is the nantucket.
  17. This subject eats at me. I remember being younger and playing sports at a rec and school level. We won and we lost. When we won it felt great, when we lost it motivated us all to work harder to improve. If we lost we didn't get trophies. I think with the way things are going now it is handicapping youth. No disappointments. I work in a people related business with young people. I have met a lot of 24-25 year olds who can't make a decision for themselves. I was reading an article the other day where college grads were going for job interviews and guess who would tag along. Their mothers. I don't think I would want to hire a individual who had to bring mommy along for a interview. Sorry if I went off on a tangent, but as I said earlier this subject really eats me up.

    GT5

Is anyone playing it, I am enjoying it. The only issue I have had is steering lock up a few times while going into curves. The game is a good sim, but not what arcade style players would like. What are your thoughts?
  19. I just sold my house and with the ok from the wife I am in the market for a boat. I will have around 15.5k to spend. I went today and price a new tracker 175 with a Merc 60 for 15.5k with a 5 year warranty on the motor. I am wondering if I should buy new or look for a good used fiberglass boat. I am thinking that the pros of buying the new boat are that I know that it hasn't been mistreated and that I have the peace of mind of a 5 year warranty. The pros of looking for a good used boat is that I am not loosing money off the lot and that I can get more boat for the money. Also I have heard bad things about BPS's services on a boat. The thing that worries me about looking used is driving a distance to see a boat that looked good only to find out that its garbage. So that being said, what advice do you guys have. Thanks
  20. I would take a look at Jackson Kayaks new model the Coosa. It has an adjustable seat and you can stand on it. I can't wait for them to have enough in production so I can get one.
  21. From my experience I think deployments are harder on family than the service member. Just stay positive throughout his entire deployment. He will have many around him and those bonds will definately help the time pass. When you do communicate with him, remember once again to just keep it positive. The toughest thing for me while I was deployed was worrying about what was going on at home, things I had no control over. The best thing you can do for him is if he has a wife and kids is to check up on them every now and then to see if they need anything. ( i.e handy work around the house ) and let him know that if he needs anything back home that you are there for him. Just my .02 Best wishes to your cousin.
  22. To all of the MARINES out there I just wanted to wish everyone a happy 235th birthday. SEMPER FI!!!
  23. I am not experiencing any issues of that nature.
  24. Yeah I am still working for Uncle Sam. It seems so much different here from Eastern N.C. but the same if you know what I mean. I thought Jacksonville had the worlds worste drivers, but I was wrong. If someone gets a flat and pulls over on the shoulder on 85 it backs traffic up for hours.
