  1. Hey did BASS brainwash you?
  2. I'm very familiar with the boat, it will hit 46-47 with that engine, boat is very stable, if its in good condition buy it before some one else does. My buddy owned it and we fished off it many times with that same engine.
  3. Sell your cottage and you can afford a boat. You don't need a 21 foot rocket. Last year I was at your Spring Sportsman Show off of Airport Rd, they were selling a 17.5 foot G3 with a Yamaha 90 SHO for 23000 Canadian, I thought that rig would fit most working folks that just want to get on the water, or buy a nice used rig, good luck. Good luck.
  4. Like you this fall was my worst, 3 different lakes , zero bass, I believe it was fall transition, like you get frustrating, but don't give up, it can't get worse, only better.
  5. I downsized our home, got rid of my truck while it was worth something and I got rid of my Ranger vs175 and am happy about it.My tow vehicle is now a 2018 Rav4 which pulled my 175 no problem, it is rated for 3500 lbs and the gas milage is almost double my Tacoma was. My garage is puny and for me I just want to simplify my fishing, that is why I am interested in this particular model.A friend got rid of his 14 1/2 footer to buy a ranger 18 with a 150 and he wished he didn't now as he had more fun in his small boat.I think now fishing with less is more now.
  6. fishnkamp I wasn't looking for advice as I want straight answer if anyone anyone has experience with and only with this model boat. If anyone has I would appreciate very much. Oh yeah just sold my Ranger vs175 3 days ago.
  7. Just retired and am downsizing as I fish by myself most of the time. Looking at a Ranger vs155, was wondering if this small boat is stable and if anyone has real world experience, appreciate any info, thanks.
  8. Flat out sucked, worst year in my life.
  9. Try a 3" senko or chartreuse trick worm dead sticking, can't hurt.
  10. Have a older 70 mk, don't want to repair it any more.Am looking to buy a new one, is a 80 easier to control then 70 and is it worth 200 more for 10 pounds of thrust?
  11. I can't beleive this question was asked!!I'm just started to cast with my left arm because rt elbow has been giving me trouble over the years after 3 operations. This post gives me a more positive outlook as I am a righty. Got til April to get better as NY winters are long, casting on my drive way in the snow may look dumb but who cares, I love fishing way too much to change.
  12. Speadbead ironically my fishing partner has a older Explorer with a 4 liter,we towed my rig behind his Explorer many times ,it pulls it like it's not there, you''ll have no problem. By the way thats a pretty boat Mark.Had a Fitch 115 like you, poped powerhead twice.Looks like you got one of the good ones
  13. Sold my 1999 r61 month ago, incredible little boat. You can store rods to 7'2" on passenger side console. My rig had a Merc 90 three, it GPS at 45.2 mph, you should hit 42 at least.Storage for a little boat is huge, it can handle some good sized waves, was caught on Lake Onterio a couple of times needing to get from one bay,15 miles later against west wind to another bay were I launched from, wet but safe, not recomended, also after all those miles of pounding not one stress crack. Do use a stainless prop, had a Merc Laser 22, big diffrence from aluminun, bought it from Jaco's Marine, best price on the net.You may need a 20 inch for that 75.Buy the boat, should have not sold mine.
  14. Clacker I can't believe you noticed it also,I thought I was the only one. Seems like BassPro is getting cheap, usually purchase baby bass color cause it is one of the fatter ones left.
  15. Found a decent price on this boat but wondwering how stable is it at rest.Just sold Rangerr61 and due to small garage am only interested in 17 ft boats. Ranger was very stable but am willing to look at any good shape bassboat.Back in the day I had a Stratos 274fs and it was far from stable when on the bow.
  16. Used to fish out of a r72,what a beautiful fishing platform, very stable even with 3 of us healthy boys the boat, hardly flinched. The rod lockers are good sized and the dual consoles were pretty good protection, the boat would not backwash, really no cons but I'd strongly suggest not hitting rocks with it.
  17. World wide except North America CRV tows 1500 klg(3300 lbs) with brakes and 600 klg(1320 lbs) with out brakes. Most of the world can not afford huge gas guzzlers like we can, they pay over five dollars a gallon or more. Its all about marketing here in US.Be smart,be careful and enjoy.
  18. I own a Stella fb 3000,use it as my go to reel,It does not get babied at all,it still is butter smooth. That being said my partner has a Steeze and he thinks his is smoother then mine. Both reels are awesome, that being said I wish I had another one.My only gripe is for that money neither reel comes with a extra spool.
