FIRST- and most importantly... *WHAT IS WITH THE "GAWLLLLY" every fish they catch. I know its a sourthern thing, but they all say it the same way....youd think they would try and change it up *Why do these guys dress like nascar? *Whats up the with Sandals EVERYBODY is wearing....they look really bad with the racing gear..... *How do they dress in those type of clothing in the summer? Dont they get hot as hell? *Why do they do the same things...fashions, slang, technique, just seems like nobody is doing their own thing... *Why do they push their products so unconvincingly and unapologeticly? it seems like they dont even try sometimes.... All i can say is I am saddened by our sport these days. The ads. The plugs. The money. The overcrowded lakes. Just seems like less and less people fish for fishing these days. The big bass guys fight like girls and seem very petty. Lying about what they use, It just sounds like a real mess in Cali right now. I dont know.....Im glad fishing is such a popular sport, but let me just say this.....Im glad I live in Philly.....

all i really see it doing is making the bait spin in an undesireable way.... but hey, at least your trying new things! KEEP IT UP!

i use a 3/16 almost all the time.....wow, im really light compared to you guys.... if it aint working it cant hurt to try a lighter and smaller presentation if you really wanna stay at it wiuth the jig....

To all the youngsters here; DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THIS TIS IS THE SINGLE WORST POST I HAVE EVER READ HERE! You are teaching kids it's ok to brak the law, thats plain irresponsible. Jerks like Muddy and Pond Hopper will call the police if they see you trying to fish them. Life sucks, get used to it. Better? :-? As much as I love Muddy, hes a great poster, one fo the best on here, and seems like a real good guy, i love this post more.... To me, this is what is wrong with the world...people calling the cops before trying to talk to somebody maybe i was raised differently being from a city area, but my dad used to help me jump the fence.... In fact, if it wasnt for being able to jump a water company fence, i probably wouldnt be a fisherman today... Always ask, of course, but what the poster is probably talking about is places like where i grew up, you were on the water companys property, not a landowners... i would never jump somebody fence into their yard, but when the water company buys the best (and only lake) within a bunch of miles, you better believe im gonna jump that fence.... PLEASE, JUST KEEP AN OPEN MIND...we all have different backgrounds, and were all raised differently.... Me, i wouldnt call the cops if i got robbed at gunpoint. Thats just how i am....unless im getting my money back their is no reason for it...

u guys are acting like hopping a fence has to be in soemones yard... around philly, the water company owned all the fences we jumped when we were kids...... also, go to the area we fished when we were kids and they are clean as whistle.....

i like when they "invent" problems.... like that jig the other day....they acted like jig fisherman miss millions of fish each year because the jig rolls over...

when we were yougner they had a boat that went around and looked for illegal fisherman... should of seen all of us scurrying through the woods, getting stuck going back over the fences, ducking behind trees, and losing our fishing rods in the madness...... good times : )

Looking at other sports, you gotta put fishing at the top of the marketing game... i love the way in basspros and cabellas, every single thing they sell has its own sales pitch.....too funny....every thing you read about gets you hyped....too funny the lure switching i have NO tolerance for...How rediculous. what a shame....i dont listen to a word these pros say when suggesting a lure.... I use their OTHER knwoledge, the things they arent trying to sell like weather and water clarity

of course the statute of limitations has been up.... But over here in philly, if you werent "creative", you probably wouldnt fish too often.... ANSWER: SOMETIMES

What Pro or Show do you find the most informitive? by this I mean who do you learn the most from, or who do you think "brings the most to the table" this could be a certain bass show, or just a pro that everytime he opens his mouth it opens our minds.... Me, I always get a lot out of Lindlers edge.... ___________________________________________________ Bonus: FOR THE HATERS... also, you could throw in who you learn the least from, or who seems the least infomed, and brings the LEAST to the table, the worst show to learn from

i agree, i dont see why everyone is acting liek this is the dumbest idea ever posted....iv seen BIG bass hit snakes...... but the guy is right that said the head, the one i saw eat a snake in detail went for the head and actuaklly had the thing sticking out of its mouth for a good while.... i would hook throught the nose or mouth area.....well actually, i wouldnt be doing this, but If I WAS YOU......

i agree with RW, try a creature weightless.....that has one of the slowest falls out their just lift it til it breaks the top of the water and let it fall about an inch from the bottom, youll be good also, try Topwater, your lucky, if its a small pond, topwater is the best!

did look cool.....but the double weedguards change the whole profile up.... i gotta say, i dont miss too many fish with jigs though

Ask yourself this: Why does this guy need to understand? If he isnt even a fisherman, then why even go their with him? I think its in our human nature to want everyone to feel the way we do when we feel strongly about something...im guilty myself But i gotta say, if i had to teach all my friends to appreciate fishing, let alone to appreciate Catch and release fishing, i would be one busy guy Fact is, these people are never gonna get it....Its not something that can be teached.... Its something you need to experience

I am very happy to read these comments. in the past it seemed like some guys on here pushed their beliefs on others a little too hard, but here everybody seems very balanced.... Me myself, im about 98% c&r....i usually make about 2 dinners each year.... For me, and others said the same thing.,....if im fishing for food, ill go with Crappies or take a trip down the shore for some blues

this was a well thought out, gem of a post, nice post as much as it upsets me too, we all have the guy at the lake with the bucket. The good news is, these guys usually dont know how to catch nothing.....my guy throws little blue gills in a bucket. ------------------------------------------------------------ I would try joking aroujnd with him, maybe say, "d**n, you eat fish every night? you know thats bad for your body right?" hell probably follow up saying that he dont eat them, then show him catch and release.....show him the feeling involved with letting that fish swim away.... MAYBE HE NEEDS TO EXPERIENCE THE FEELING HIMSELF FOR HIM TO UNDERSTAND.... when i was a little kid i had the "keep-em" mindset....but after releasing a few fish i fell in love with the feeling!
