never mind,i was back out in the garage and it's now tripping the reset breaker.....back to motor guide i guess!!!!!! 2nd mind kota kota i've had problems with over the yrs...

i have a minn kota edge that stopped working,yesterday i noticed the housing was very hot when putting the boat on the trailer and this morning i went out and the motor does nothing.I have voltage to the foot pedal.I'm wondering if the windings went on it and maybe there is an internal overload that tripped and doesn't reset.If i leave the motor on now it doesn't get warm either. it's only 4 1/2 yrs old ....any help!!...i'm 2 hrs away from a dealer.....

my 640lx came with a 60 hp mercury and so did 3 others i looked at......so it's probabley the same motor....it was the standard hp unless you wanted to pay extra to upgrade to a 90hp

i have an 04 nitro 640lx with a 60hp...it's alittle under powered but i fish alone most of the time so it's not an issue..other than that i have no complaints....

i have a 6 round to 4 flat adapter for my trailer and it loosens up and my lites don't always work....i have a nissan frontier and it came with the towing kit....it has a little tab on it that locks it in but still wiggles around....anyone have this issue and a fix.....don't know why they didn't make them so they twist and lock in tight like trolling motor plug......

i'm gonna use some mono backing on my reels to save $$$ on flourocarbon. whats the best knot to join the 2 lines.....bloodknot i assume.....thanks

my pages on the bps website are messed up....displays maybe 3/4 of the width of the page.I don't know if my computer is messed up or the website.I didn't see any other posts about this so it's probably my computer although it's the only website thats messed up......thanks

anyone fish these lakes,i live in mass but the fishing is so poor because all the lakes near me are chemically treated for weed control i may need to go elsewhere. i have driven by these lakes and was wondering if i can put a bass boat in and how the bass fishing is...thanks for any info...or if there are any other lakes in the area that are worth trying

i removed the power panel but couldn't get my arm in far enough to reach all the bolts.instead of one larger hole there were two smaller holes behind the panel and if i made the hole bigger then there wouldn't be a place for the panel screws to hold to, so i ordered some isolater bolts from motorguide,maybe those will last longer....

i had the isolater bolts for my trolling motor start to pull out. i have a nitro 640 and don't have any access underneath....do i have anyother options other than ordering another set....or is one brand better than another,i think i used the universal set listed in bps catalog....

can anyone give me a liitle info about the res. i live in western mass and am tired of the lousy fishing around here the last couple years. i was looking at a vermont map and i think thats the closest large body of water.i was also considering st catherine.i would probabley go during a weekday,2nd or 3rd week in july(vacation)and will be fishing from a boat. any help is appreciated.....thanks

i bought one and have only been out once but i was amazed by the detail,you will love it....only extra for mounting is a trolling motor bracket if your going to mount it there,otherwise you should be allset.....i would recommend it to anyone....and if it still doesn't come with a manual you can email humminbird and they will send you one free...

in mass you can apply for a title from the mass wildlife division. I had to do that cause i paid off my boat and bank of america lost my title....i don't know how it works in new york...

i use 3 colors most of the time,black,watermelon and green pumpkin. i have equal confidence in the 3 and usually try all 3 no matter the conditions to see what works. I also sometimes use chart. spike it on the tails.I also use dark blue on jig and pigs...

iv'e been trying to get out fishing this week but the weather has been poor.I may try to get out tomorrow and am wondering if anyone else has had any success in 40 degree water.Ice left aweek ago and i don't expect to catch much if anything.Avg. depth is probably 14',i was going to try around 8 ft,casting towards shore and out deeper with mainly x-rap and lipless bait.Also may throw an heavy jig and swim it slowly.Will bass chase a spinnerbait in water this cold?

my other story is more bad luck than stupidity,same old alum. boat.i was on the way to the lake to meet some friends very early morning. i noticed while driving 1 trailer tire was almost flat.i went thru a yellow traffic lite and pulled in to a gas station for air when the officer pulled in behind. despite my pleas i got a ticket cause in his words the truck went thru the yellow lite but the boat went thru the red...got to the boat ramp ,backed the boat in and the rope broke and it drifted into the channel...a guy fishing on shore casted a spinnerbait to it and finally snagged some gear in the boat....he was able to guide it to shore where we found out i never put the plug in!!!!after bailing the water out and went fishing,of course we caught nothing.......

i have 2 stories,i'll use 2 separate posts....years ago i had a old duracraft alum. boat with a small gas motor.it was a good sized boat and very wide.while fishing with a friend of mine we were going thru a channel to the upper part of the lake.I pulled of to the side to let a canoe get by and hit some rocks with the prop and broke the shear pin.After about an hour of taking turns rowing this wide boat against the wind ,we finally got to the boat ramp.on the way home i remembered there was a spare pin under the motor cover......

i've got 3 accurists that are at least 5yrs old...never had an issue and i also have 2 newer ones about 2 or 3 yrs old.i bought some new reels this year and am using one old accurist over a daiwa supertuned advantage i bought about 3 yrs ago....all toll i have eight quantums and never had any problems with them

i'll try that out tomorrow,hopefully it will be first day on the water this year.....just wondering if alot of people tighten them down and really whip it or keep it on the lower settings and just down throw as hard.....i know i don't cast 70 yds!!!!!!,thats for sure....

when using baitcasters,i see guys on tv really whipping their rods and casting almost so hard i would have a huge birdnest.How do you guys usually set brakes and tension.I usually try to use least amount of each as possible and use a softer cast.i know how to adjust them by letting the lure fall slowly but that usually seems to be alittle too lite for me
