  2. 7" berkley power worm, black grape.
  3. www.designerlures.com <--- thats their old site, the new one is www.dzinelures.com, but it doesn't seem to be working. the owner is steve, i've worked with him before and he's a great guy. really devoted to the customer. you tell him what you want and he will make it. he has 12" snakes available, the site says "super floating snakes" but he can make them not float if you want. tell him i sent you, he might remember me
  4. oh ok that makes sense.
  5. 5 3/4" and 5 1/4" "OG Shads" ;D one is for me and one is for a friend.
  6. i don't really think it was her fault. they DEFINITLEY should have had some kind of warning or barricade around the open hole. now, if she was looking at her phone and walked into traffic, well thats just dumb... ;D see, traffic, cars, buildings, curbs, etc are things people consciously avoid walking into, but i don't think people consciously avoid manholes because 99 percent of the time there is a cover on them, or at least some yellow tape or a cone.
  7. isn't his son like 11 years old? ;D
  8. ok. thats interesting...i'd never seen a crankbait with that small of a lip before.
  9. .......interesting to say the least...
  10. had to read it twice ;D
  11. ;D ;D ;D
  12. they look nice. i like the chart/blue the most what kind of action does that one with the tiny lip have? (first bait, second pic)
  13. you sir, have left me confused... :-? ;D
  14. i always fish with a license...even though i've never even SEEN game warden....
  15. no signs and easily accessible = i'd fish it.
  16. i got rapala pro fishing for the ps2 back in the day and i played it a lot then, but now i don't like it so much, its very unrealistic...and its no fun just using rapalas.
  17. oh ok i understand now! i'll have to try that on my next one. on this current one, what i did was i just stuck one hook hanger in the piece, and i coated the hook hanger in vaseline so (hopefully) the epoxy won't cling to it. i didn't worry about filling the other holes and i just brushed epoxy over them, and the epoxy didn't go into the holes too bad. i can quickly clear the epoxy out with the drill. thanks for the help, i'll use screw eyes next time
  18. anybody else REALLY like this band? i think they're great.
  19. the jointed senko got my attention mainly because i just thought of the idea about two weeks ago! i was bored and playing with a rat trap i bought, and i threw a yum dinger onto it and it crimped the dinger and made a joint. i made a few this way, with 1 and 2 joints. havent tried them out yet. i feel cheated! lol ;D
  20. i think that is proportionately the fattest bass i've ever seen! (its probably proportionately fatter than dottie!)
  21. i find braid backlashes are SO MUCH easier than mono backlashes. mono gets all coily and tangly and kinked when it gets in a backlash, but braid stays limp which helps a lot. i can get most braid backlashes out in 30 sec or less, but then again, i have a lot of experience with braid, its the only line i've used on all my rigs for almost 2 years now.
  22. ok. well i don't use screw eyes, i use wire loops, but your method works the same way, because the wire loops are a pretty tight fit. so i just assembled the joints to paint the bait, and now i'm going to stick the hook hangers and all in so i can hold the bait while i'm epoxying. only problem i see that is probably going to come up is when epoxy topcoat gets on the hook hangers that are temporarily in place...won't this get them stuck in there pretty good?
  23. yeah i've cut my hands pulling snags with braid and even setting the hook (i put my index finger under the level wind), but never flipping. when i flip i hold my rod in my right hand and i hold the bait by the hook shank in my left hand. i don't hold the line above the lure in my left hand because that seems like i'm just asking to get hooked... Flipping is done in super close quarters and or shallow water. You are using your hand to pull the line out of the water near the reel while raising your rod then placing the lure back into another hole then letting go of the line.Your not using your reel or adjusting the length of line or actually casting the bait.It is faster and more efficient to "pick" apart an area directly next to the boat. When you use your hand to pull the line out of the water you can get hung up a little in pads and brush and it can cut your fingers.Thats flipping, correct me if I am wrong. I know everbody has their own ideas on some things. Get it straight Dave. I get cuts from tying too much all the time : Try sticking you hand in a bag of Yum worms afterwards oh ok i know what you're talking about now. i thought it was the other way around. i hardly ever "flip" then. but i "pitch" a hella lot.
