  1. robert, is that thing even a scale? looks like its just a lip grip. i use a cheesy rapala 15lb digital scale. its accurate to some amount. my dad and i preformed "lab tests" on it by weighing freeweights of various sizes and the results were strange....every time for each different weight it came up 4oz. shy. is that weird? i thought it was.
  2. jerks, pauses, and long stops....just keep it random. 8-) good luck!
  3. lol i got the xrap shad at dicks. the walmart did have a saltwater xrap though.
  4. the bait monkey let me off the hook today! i went to walmart and dicks and only ended up with 7 things fishing related. i got a rapala skitterwalk, rapala skitter prop, rapala x-rap shad, zoom ole' monsters, gamakatsu 2/0 ewgs, and two strike king premimum spinnerbaits. all in all its good stuff but man i was having a really hard time picking out stuff to buy!
  5. wow there are so many options! i was hoping that most everybody would say the same one but i guess i was wrong so far the popular ones seem to be the bronzeye and the tournament/bobbys' perfect frog. what conditions dictate when to use a hollow frog instead of some other topwater lures?
  6. oh man this one couldnt be better
  7. this oens pretty good
  8. i might have to look for that floating cane toad. i like the hook up ratios of soft plastic frogs, and i also like how that one floats...because the one thing i dont like about soft ones is that they sink when paused. i might just have to look for some of these and pick em up if i see em!
  9. lol ownage is great!
  10. ok thats good to know. thanks for all the info everybody!
  11. i was lookin at the bobbys perfect frog and the way it sounds is some bobby dude got the regular frog and modded it to his likin and then they produced em "pre-modded" is that true? i think that may be the one i get.
  12. what is the best reasonably priced hollow body frog at a reasonable price (around $7)? all the ones ive ever dealt with cant hook a fish due to poor hook placement. any good ones out there?
  13. if that was so, then it just wouldnt be jackass anymore...it'd just be jack lol!
  14. rauls got it right on the money. the brakes spin against a little rim on the inside of the side cover and cause friction which slows down the speed of your spool in the cast. for regular casting i just set two brakes on. works fine for most baits. i set them directly across from each other. for flippin what i do is i load up on brakes and just turn down the spool tension knob...tahts just how i do it cuz im not very skilled at flippin...others may do it differently.
  15. tokyo_tony was right...that looks almost identical to the xrap shad. just save the money and get the rapala.
  16. that is exactly what i feel about this bait and thats what i was trying to tell will on AIM a few nights ago
  17. wow nice fish!!!!!!!!! i'd love to catch one that size. judging by the size of that i'd have to put my guess between 8-9 pounds! goooood job! what did you catch it on and how?
  18. thanks for the heads up. i'll have to get my mom to take me to dicks tomorrow or friday see if they have any deals!!!
  19. I just downloaded and watched the entire thing. its pretty darn funny! my fav. part of 2.5 was when they were doing the mini motorcycle mayhem. lol that was funny!
  20. i got a n avid 6'6 MM casting rod, a shimano citica 100dsv, and a big ole order from ***! cant wait to use this stuff.
  21. i made a post about them in the "innovative soft plastic" thread a while back. they are by far the most innovative soft plastic ive see. they look awesome. i really want some but they are like 11 dollars for a 7 pack if i remember right. thats just way to much to pay for soft plastics. let us know how they work!
  22. c'mon...lighten up! it was his first bass and the thing was tiny (not saying that in an offensive way). the removal of that bass did nothing to the ecosystem...if anything it helped it.
  23. ok that makes sense. seeing how it was in a backyard i was afraid he kept it
  24. if you wanna get your own ".com" name then yea its gonna cost, but you can use hosting websites like blogspot and make your own website there for free.
