  1. lol i still get pretty p*ssed when i lose them lol!!! ;D but i dont lose them too often so thats good.
  2. the only way to tell for sure is just to try and catch whatevers down there!!!!
  3. i like alot of brands, but there is only one that i think im loyal to. that is Rapala. never have i had a bad lure from them. each one has been a great work of art and will catch many fish. very durable, very nice finishes, very nice color patterns. they are just about the best lure 7 bucks will get you!!!! they are truly worth the cost and more. great baits at a great price. good thread
  4. i definitley showed all of BR that vid
  5. ok thats understandable. did you get a weight on that big fish?
  6. thats a boat load of jerky!!! it'd have to be dinosaur jerky or something for me to pay that much lol!!!!! you made out well my friend. do you have a grand total on that stuff? i was thinkin of getting some r2s jigs, i wanted the junk grenades, but i decided not to go with them.
  7. this video is soo funny. those guys are wild. the ending is my favorite part: "yeah! i hooked myself! hooked myself in the crotch!"
  8. idk it was the only size that TW had. i think its 65 or something like that but im not sure.
  9. Those are some good fish!!!! was taht really big one released??
  10. Mrs. Matstone, you'd probably be better off hitting up the Gander Mtn. in Fredricksburg than fishing lol! ;D
  11. chigger craw looks alot more like a real craw than the wooly hawg craw. so it depends what you're looking for. if you want a realistic one, go with the berkley, if you want more of a "creature" profile, then go with the YUM. personally, i'd go with the YUM, but thats just me.
  12. brent, what model crawfish is that? i was gonna say, your lake fork craw looks very realistic, minus that little worm part stickin out the end, i guess thast just for rigging though, you could cut that part off for a more realistic profile.
  13. lol she's getting me the stuff because im helpin her out thru her biology course cuz she doesnt know much about biology. i ordred r2s 2 v-joint wake baits, a r2s bubble popper, a bagley baitfish, and a spro dawg.
  14. ok that exceller looks pretty nice. what did you do with your megaforce? did you trade it in or sell it or keep it or what? yeah it was awesome to be fishing. didnt bother me at all that i didnt catch anything. i was happy to test out my new 7' avid casting rod. i found out that combined with proper reel settings, it can fling a 5" trick stick halfway across the pond with ease! i fished jigs alot yesterday with no avail. oh well...at least i was out there. i think im gonna PM ya about jig fishing paul, your real good at it and i need to be real good at it ;D
  15. waterwolves, you got yourself one of them mean-mouth bass!!! a smallmouth and a largemouth hybrid. must have been a hell of a fight! cool pics.
  16. fourbizz: NICE ONE!!!!
  17. STOCK UP ON FOOTLOOSE, 100, AND 200. then give me half of your stock...free of charge...hehehe
  18. dont wanna sound like a smart*ss, but a frog rod. lol they make rods designed for frogs. ive never researched frog rods so i couldnt reccomend one to you, but if you wanted to get serious about frogging, a frog rod and some 30-50lb braided line would be a good investment.
  19. never heard of a jointed rattle trap type lure either. looks cool. let us know how it does!!!
  20. its the same way with jigs for me. i fish it for a good while every time i go, you figure a fish has to bite sometime....nope. and its not like i fished it for 20 min once and didnt like it so i put it at the bottom of my list, i fish it soooooooo much but never get a bump out of it. hopefully things will change in '08. :-/
  21. its january my man, dont be greedy ;D haha but seriously, at least you got some numbers to make up for size. i actually made a rare january appearance to a pond and fished yesterday and caught squat. i thought you got a daiwa megaforce? its funny, i was just about to PM you and ask how the fishing/new combo was treatin ya...havent heard from you in a while! catch a few for me :
  22. regarding lights: if youre night fishing, stay away from white lights!!!! they actract bugs like all get out, and they will quickly destroy your natural night vision. Cones in your eyes adjust to color very fast, about a minute, where as the rods, which adjust to darker things adjust much slower. it takes about 45 minutes to develop good night vision. if you are going to use a light, make sure it is red or green, as these colors have shorter wavelengths and will not attract bugs or destroy your natural night vision. another science lesson from Professor Saavedra
  23. YUM Crawbugs look bad*ss. they are by far the most realistic soft plastic craw around. some craws look pretty good but they have no depth. they are flat or very thin, unlike a crawfish. YUM crawbugs are actually round like a real crawfish and look just like em. i honestly think that they made a mold of a real crawfish when they made their lures lol. i dont even fish craws much, but i would be willing to bet that removing one pincer and melting the other shut would increase catch rate.
  24. i agree fishindude. i dont even frog fish much, infact, i cant catch a fish on a frog to save my life....they always miss it and on the rare occasion they do bite i cant get hooked up because of the crappy hooks on the snagproof frog. but i took out the crappy double hook and added a single 4/0 gammy so im excited to see how it'll improve my hook-ups. plus, my sister isnt giving me as much money as i had hoped, so im not even gonna get a frog : ;D
  25. thanks man. turns out i bought the spro dawg and bubble popper lol!
