  1. better run to True-Value pretty fast then! ;D
  2. just did a google product search and came up with tons of results. you should do the same. here is the first result i got: https://www.hardwareworld.com/1-Oz-Clr-2-Ton-Epoxy-pIRUBQZ.aspx but chances are you probably dont need to order online, just about every hardware store carries it, and even walmart carries it!
  3. ...will recieve this custom re-finished Rat-L-Trap shortly (rod not included...sorry)
  4. you betcha! I had to put one in for good measure!
  5. THANKS EVERYONE!!! bmadd, its tempera (read original post, dont just look at the pics j/k) f.b.l. and bassinblvd, suspensful aint it? ;D sam, my teacher lives underground like a Hobbit! im not kidding either; they dug out a hillside and built the house and then burried it. pretty cool. but im guessing she will give me a 98 or 99. she has never given a 100 in her whole career :-/. and THANKS to popeye, bassdoctor, and LBH
  6. a silver rapala DT-06. 8-) ( you coulda seen that coming)
  7. a light coat of Devcon 2-Ton Epoxy will. too much epoxy may hurt the action a little bit, so just put a very light coat over the lure. the epoxy is available at any hardware store and even walmart.
  8. i havent been very active on the site for the past two days because i've been busy painting this: i painted it using temera paints. its a project for art class. i had a fun time painting it and i hope i get a good grade when it was done i thought it might make a nice avatar
  9. confidence. if you are more pleased with the color and you are confident in it then you will fish it better and catch more fish. i personally am a BIG match the hatcher. i just feel weird throwing something that is firetiger colored , however i would throw a shad colored crank like my life depends on it .
  10. wow that thing is so big it is scary. i honestly do not know what i would do if i had something like that on the end of my line!!!!! congratulations!!!!
  11. Let's take a vote, all in favor say "I". : I!!!!! Seriously now, 4 pages of nothing but nonsense :-?..... Aren't we supposed to be fishing or something???? : *looks out the window and looks at the thermometer* Maybe some time soon though. dude what the hell are you complaining about? youre in maryland. today it was in the 60's!!!!
  12. [move]RAPALA DT!!![/move]
  13. OH NO YOU DIDNT!!!!! RAPALA IS FAR FROM CRAP!!!! but i agree, i think they will call just about anything a swimbait nowadays just cuz swimbaits are hot and stuff will sell w/ a name like "swimbait" on it.
  14. wtffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff?
  15. why do you need to sand off the old finish anyway? when i repaint baits i just paint right over the finish.
  16. ok not bad. do the caps have any weight to them? the reason the nose of a soft plastic gets so torn up is from the constant re-rigging after fish or contact with cover. when the worm is locked on the hook it wont slide down so you dont have to re-rig. but you also dont need a big bulky cap to lock a bait on a hook....there was a little invention a while ago called a parasite clip. its very small and un-noticable. i love em! www.parasiteweights.com they also have parasite weights, which do the same thing except they have weight attached. if your little trick works for you then keep doing it! i think im gonna stick with parasite clips for now...
  17. i use devcon 2 ton also. its the best that i have used (i havent used much though) but it is thick. alot of people like to thin it with some acetone after they mix it to make it easier to apply. i have never done this, no reason really, just havent. thinning it also elongates the drying time, giving you more time to work with it. good luck with your next ones!
  18. that is cool man. i would freak if i got to meet bill dance. but honestly, im not sure if i would recognize him on the street if he didnt have his tennessee hat on...
  19. isnt yours 18 or 19 something pounds!?!? great fish man!
  20. the max i would use is 14lb. but thats just me. once you get past 14lb. it gets pretty thick and stiff and hard to work with. with braid on the other hand, i would go up to 60, but i'd prefer to use 50.
  21. 1.) 7lbs 2.) 23.5 inches 3.) April 29 2007, 7:35 and 22 seconds AM 4.) community pond, on a spawning bed in under a foot of water 5.) original rapala floater; bleeding pearl 6.) 7.) much fun ensued
  22. i bought a cavitron a while back because i needed a good buzzbait (my strike king was falling apart on me). havent had a chance to use it yet, but i hear it is close to the best buzzbait ever! cant wait to put that to the test.
  23. junebug or smoke w/ red flake 8-)
  24. really? thats suprising. i love the excalibur tx3 rotating trebels that come stock on bombers. great hooks! as for me, i usually dont do much modding of my lures :-/
  25. based on your first post you have been repeating the same unsuccessful tactic over and over: fishing stuff on the bottom. maybe the fish are suspended! i was out the other day and i figured i'd go to deep water and fish the bottom with worms and stuff. i go to the deep part of the lake and whaddya know...theres quite a few fish, but the finder shows them suspended about 6 feet deep in 12 feet of water. so what did i do? tied on a rapala DT6 of course! caught a few that day! so in summary, just try different tactics if the same ole' isnt workin. good luck
