  1. aint that the truth! :-[ i wonder if there is anyway i could get my local dicks to get a shipment of these.
  2. wow...i dont want it that bad :-/
  3. the lure is a jointed rapala size 13 (biggest size) in muddler color. looks like this: muddler is a color that isnt even supposed to be available in the US, but my local dicks sporting goods sells a bunch of muddler colored rapalas (at regular price), but they dont sell this one! > my friend in canada said that his local tackleshop was getting a new shipment of muddler raps, and he said he would send me one, but turns out theyre not. so does anyone know where i can get one of these? theyre like 15 bucks on ebay, and im def. not paying that. i will pay a reasonable rapala price (3-7 bucks) for one, but no way im paying 15 bucks!
  4. mehhhh it just looks like one more thing that can break on a $20+ lure... i wouldnt buy one. :-/
  5. i was gonna buy some of those. theyre expensive though...
  6. dont know if you got the email, but if you enter the promotion code: 68FREE at checkout, you get free shipping on orders minimum of $150. just thought i'd give you a heads up if anyone was planning on buying 150 bucks worth of stuff from cabelas any time soon. offer ends 6/23.
  7. i love how you pass those off as "some good fish" that you didnt bother to weigh. here in maryland, those are absolute TOADS!!!! great job paul. keep tearin' em up.
  8. what is initial and secondary stability?
  9. the weights (and clips) friggin ROCK!!! its the all in one deal right there. -gives you weight -pegs the weight -saves your plastics once you rig about 3 baits you will get the hang of using them.
  10. sorry, didnt get a chance to mail it yesterday, but i mailed it off today .
  11. everyone's suggestions are great and they are things taht you should do, but i have one that nobody has mentioned. perhaps it wasnt a bass at all? i dont know if you have pike in your area but you probably have pickerel. the other day i hooked a fish and it felt like a 6+ lb bass, but when i landed it, it was only an 18" pickerel. these toothy fish hit harder, fight harder, and fight longer than any bass of the same size. so all im saying is, maybe you just hooked a decent sized pickerel and then it cut your line w/ its teeth.
  12. yeah it does reduce messy line tangles. there are a few reasons why i like closing it by hand: 1. reduces line tangle. 2. if you put your hand in place to close the bail early, you can feather the line w/ your palm as its coming off the spool to make more accurage casts. 3. its much easier on the reel than cranking it shut.
  13. 1.) 5" trick stick (smoke red pepper, shimmer shad) t-rigged weigtless 2.) " " wacky rigged 3.) anything from the rapala DT line, in any natural, shad like color.
  14. Micro, that is too funny!!!!!!!!!! ;D you know how those cali guys are...they catch a big fish and dont tell anyone for another month .
  15. cool! what kind of vehicle would it take to tow something like this? we have a 2000 nissan fronteir (v4) front wheel drive, and a 2008 hyundai tuscon (v6) front wheel drive. neither have a tow hitch that is attached to the frame, its just the kind that attatch to the bumber.
  16. best one available : Rapala DT-Flat 07
  17. this may sound dumb, but you rig it skirt forward right? thats how i was rigging it.
  18. is it just me or do all walleyes look like they've been dead for a few hours?
  19. ok thanks for the info. so theyre pretty good boats? is this a good deal? http://smd.craigslist.org/boa/696121328.html
  20. thanks brian! that helps a lot!
  21. i dont usually use watermelon flake colored trick sticks, i usually use silvery colored ones. but if you are set on getting watermelon black flake then do so, but as your second color, i HIGHLY reccomend something like shimmer shad or smoke or junebug.
  22. i got a place just like that. its a neighboorhood, there are 3 ponds. one of em i caught my biggest bass (7lbs) and my second biggest (6lbs), but other than that i have caught a few dinks. the other has produced some of my dads biggest, but i have only caught a few small bass in there. it is VERY frustrating knowing there are huge bass in there, but they are sooooo hard to catch.
  23. has anyone ever heard of Javelin bass boats? i have never heard of the manufacturer. how are their boats? there is a pretty good deal on one locally and i wanna know what these boats are like.
  24. when to use: whenever you are so fed up with dealing with tangly mono/flouro line! , whever you want less stretch, more sensativity, and abrasion resistance what to use: 30-50lb powerpro depeneding on what reel you put it on (30lb is 8lb diameter, 50lb is 10 or 12lb diameter) what to use on: anything! braid rocks
