  1. Gee thanks RW, now I want to get there even more....... Thanks for the information, I have fished a large lake like this. Should be very interesting.
  2. Now that I found the heated water I fish in Maryland year round. Was out in January when it was 25 degree out getting 15-18 smallmouth's. So far have caught bass every month this year, going to keep that going as long as possible...
  3. Welcome Steve, you came to the right place to talk bass fishing. I live between Black Hills and Clopper. I spend more time at Black Hills but if there are any questions please let me know, I will answer everything the best way I can. There are some real good guys on here who can tell you all kind of information.
  4. I have ceramic bearings in two reels, a Revo S, and a Citica 200D. The difference in the Revo is marginal, but the Citica was a very noticeable improvement.
  5. Well bassn, that is already started. Already spoke to them, and talked to a board member. They charge a monthly fee for this locked, secure storage. There is no waiver of rights for stolen items, since this is the case they will cover the cost. The annual meeting for the HOA is tomorrow, I will be there to display my displeasure about the camera's and push for them. And I mis-typed earlier the total loss this year is 8k total. One of the cars is still at the body shop after someone took a walk across it.
  6. Days of a boat are over, I can't afford to put a new motor on it. And even if I could I would have to leave it in the same place. The area is not covered by camera's, we have tried to get the HOA to put them in but they refuse. All totaled this year between my wife and myself we have had over $6k in damage to our vehicles and now this. Its locked, supposedly secure store for the boat.
  7. Went to head out this morning in the boat, first chance for that in two months. Get to the storage area to find my 25 horse motor was stolen, now waiting for a cop to show so I can report it.....my days of having a boat are over
  8. Be careful doing that, if you hit a website that has bad code on it (virus, trojan...) it runs with the privileges of the account you are logged it as. If its an admin account it will run without issue. If its XP you can right click on it and chose Run As, this will give you the option to run it under the admin account for that process only.
  9. Well after the car gets vandalized over the weekend, work was a huge headache (can't wait to get out of the group I am in). I get some time so I head out fishing to get away a little. Get one bite, hook into a decent fish lose it by having the trailer hook on the spinnerbait come off. Then proceed to break one of my rods, only about 2 months old. So now have to figure out how I am going to replace it. Somewhere, somehow I need to catch a good break....
  10. My wife went out to go to work this morning, and found someone had walked across her Jaguar XKR. Have footprints going from the front over the hood, roof, and truck lid. Have tons of scratches and two dents in the roof. People have no respect for others property...
  11. Welcome ALbasser!!!!
  12. Went out yesterday morning for a couple hours, wanted to hit a spot on the C&O canal which I have been doing very well in. Last time I was there got two 21.5 inch largemouths, first time ever I got two over 20inches in the same day. Anyway, I get there and a sign had been put up to say they were working on the lock and improving the area. Got down to the water and saw it had been drained down, only about 1/3 of the water was left in. Not sure if the bass will be able to survive in so little water but I guess time will tell. Ran to a nearby lake to at least get some fishing in, managed to get two in about 5 hours of fishing.
  13. Welcome Aaron!!!!!!!!
  14. I have been to Black Hills a few times, but its been real slow. The next week will be cooler hopefully that will help pick things up.
  15. Thanks Ghoti, The BPS Pro Finesse XPS trigger rods are on clearance for 60 bucks right now.....
  16. Planning to pick up a finesse plastics rod, looking at either a 7ft M action or a 6ft 9in ML action rod. This will mainly be used for unweighted 4in senko's and other similiar sized plastics. Reviewing prior post and have one other question. Which rod action would you choose, pro's/con's of each.
  17. Welcome!!! Glad to hear you have already got into a good number of fish.
  18. Welcome Rob!!! I am also in Maryland (Germantown to be exact) , however I have never heard of Phoenix Maryland. What area is it in? Looking for help on rods and all?? The guys here will provide more info then you thought possible!!
  19. Mazda needs to put the Wankel in a true sports car again......
  20. So far my biggest is 18in, did not have a scale so no weight. Caught on a jig with a chigger craw. Hopefully will break that at Pickwick next year if not sooner.
  21. Have they said why they don't do the inspections. My boat trailer doesn't have breaks and the first place I pulled into did it on the spot. I live in Germantown but the boat was in Hagerstown so I did the inspection up there....I will look around to see if I have any luck..
  22. A 50 cent piece and a nickle.....
  23. I think you answered your own question after checking reliability and resale value.....
  24. Another part for the truck??? Dude you are going to have a new truck soon. Hopefully you will make it out for the night fishing, I hear it can be really good fishing. I won't be there, I have the first round of my dart playoff's.
  25. They are never a bad idea, especially if you plan on towing any distances, especially in a hot climate
