  1. A couple more pics.
  2. Got to spend a great day yesterday fishing with Hellbenderman at Black Hills. Found a lot of largemouth on beds, some of the covers had nice fish all over the place. As we went cove to cove we got into some real nice fish, one of my better days. I got 4 between 18 and 20 inches. Hellbenderman got several large ones also including a 5lb 9oz for the largest of the day. Have to thank Hellbenderman again for taking me out for such a great day.
  3. That part of the river is catch and release only all year long. Its part of a trophy bass area of the potomac.
  4. Fished a small club tourney yesterday, had 14 boats. After a slow start I was able to start getting some fish on jig/craw, a couple on slider head, and my largest fish on a t-rigged baby brush hog. My limit ended up with 10lbs 11oz, good for second place in the co-angler group. Not a huge bag but for only my second tourney (and getting skunked in my first tourney) I will take it.
  5. Fished a tournament on Conowingo out of Glen Cove marina. Never been there before so was looking forward to it. Day started slow but got better mid way thru. Ended up having my 5 fish limit for 10lbs 11oz. Not a huge limit but enough to get second place in the co-angler ranks. Most of my fish were caught on a jig/craw, some on a slider head, and the biggest one on a t-rigged baby brush hog.
  6. Time for my vacation to start, have a tourney tomorrow then a week of fishing. If anyone is heading out next week let me know maybe we can meet up.
  7. I liked it, seemed to allow teams to work out trades better.
  8. Touchy subject for me, my parents home which I grew up in was taken thru eminent domain about 15 years ago. They lived right beside the Appalachian trail and the federal government was buying 500 feet on each side of it. So now instead of having a well kept property, garden and such along the trail they have a run down overgrown property. We also helped people who were lost or needed something while they hiked the trail. Now they have nowhere to stop.
  9. Jami was the guest speaker at my club's annual seminar, good guy, provided some real good information. This was in January and was his first time speaking at seminars. He is not the polished speaker like some who have been doing it for years.
  10. Man I am jealous of that one, nice fish Sean. Hoping to get out Sunday, but have to keep an eye on the weather looks like another big cool down tonight and tomorrow. Will them in lockjaw mode for Sunday. Chris, I am on vacation (Sean is too) the first week of May. Would love an opportunity to get out on the lake with you sometime.
  11. Anyone else planning to head out Sunday morning? If anyone is heading to Black Hills or somewhere in that area let me know, possibly we can meet up.
  12. Stopped by Black Hills last night for a couple of hours. Thought I could get into a few after a couple days a calm weather but no. Only hooked one on slider head with a zoom finesse worm. Lost it about 5 foot from the bank, was only about 15 inches. Got a couple bumps on a Rage Eeliminator. Had it C-rigged, then tried T-rigged a little later. Was being entertained though by the carp making some very loud splashes after jumping. Only a couple bass hit the surface. I cast the slider head to a spot one jumped and hooked the one I lost. Oh well, I may be able to head out Sunday, will have figure out were.....
  13. Dose, its just "Does" misspelled.
  14. I am one of the one's who backed out on Rhino, boat situation was part of it. But have some personal things come up too. Was still going to try to make it however with the reduced attendance and boat situation I decided my best option was to not go. While it is great we had 6 months to plan things everyone has different situations in life going on. We really shouldn't be posting negative about people because they have priorities, SoFlaBassAddict posted a priority way way above fishing, his daughters. I love fishing and go every chance I get but my daughter comes first also, its not even a close choice.
  15. Didn't make it out over the weekend, but should be heading to Black Hills after work tonight. Will probably be hitting the stickup area. Hopefully a couple days of stable weather will settle the bass down and I can get a few. If anyone is heading out to BH tonight let me know.
  16. Okay, do you have any icons in the system tray which popup messages? Some of them don't allow the taskbar to hide after they appear.
  17. Do you have the taskbar locked?
  18. They don't remove it, the lift a flap up but its not fully removed. It is not bad at all, you don't feel anything, the only way you know it happened is if the doc tells you or you notice a change in your vision. The whole process was 15 minutes for both eyes to be complete. I had no discomfort during or after. They will tell you to keep your eyes closed as much as possible for a few hours afterwards. I got home and took a nap, woke up ready to go.
  19. I had Lasik on December 29th, 2007, I was 20/400 before the procedure and was able to read a clock 10 feet away afterwards. Before the 15 minute process I could only may out the color difference of the clock. It was one of the best things I have ever done for myself. My vision is now 20/20 in one eye, 20/25 in the other. The only issue I have is being a little more sensitive to bright light.
  20. Currently I have a 2007 Xterra, which I love except for the gas mileage. So trying to think of ideas on what vehicle would get decent mpg and still hold 7ft rods (they are all one piece). Price range under 25k, I know not much options but worth a shot.....
  21. Will be interesting to see what happens when it cools down to the low 60's friday and this weekend. Was at my bass club meeting today, one of the other members fish BH today and he apparently did very well including several 3-4 pound bass.
  22. Was at one of the back coves at Black Hills on Monday night after work. Found dozens of male bass up close to shore, and numerous large females cruising around. They were not hanging around any specific cover just cruising around, and multiple times saw groups of females in 5-6 feet of water just hanging under the surface. Problem was they would not look at anything I threw and I watched them swim by bait fish with no reaction to them. I tried everything I could think of and managed a 14in and an 18in. The 14in was on a c-rigged rage lizard, and the 18in was on a slider head with a zoom finesse worm. Saw several in the 7lb range, would lay the lizard in the area were they were cruising and twitch it when they came close. Got there attention for a couple seconds then they would move away again.
  23. You can have a gas motor on, when I had a boat I left it in the water and no one said a word. I got checked a couple of time by park police and there was no questions asked about it. Do you fish out of Glen Cove? I have a tourney there on May 1st and have never been anywhere close to it before.
  24. Andy, Black Hills is a park near Boyds Md, in Montgomery County. The name of the lake is Little Seneca. Its an electric only lake, there is one boat ramp just inside the park. Can be tough to fish at times but holds some real nice Largemouth, Crappie, and Tiger Musky. If I remember correctly it is around 500 acres. Hellbender, look forward to your report, I won't be able to fish until after work on Monday or Tuesday but interested to see how the bass are biting.
