  1. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on a 2000 Triton TR19, it has a 150HP Johnson. Not sure what else it has, a club member who has been having some health issues. The motor only has 40 hours on it total. I know the motor is not the highest HP the platform will take which is a concern. I am not looking for outright speed, would be my first boat, more concerned with stability and something easy to drive. The last time it was used was 2 weeks ago and supposedly no issues. He is currently asking 8k for it.
  2. I am with Stasher1, go with the xB. I also have a Release Series 7.0. I have 7ft 6in rods which fit with no issue, it has plenty of room and gets about 28mpg.
  3. To say hooray to a player being injured and out indefinitely is just plain pathetic. I do not care what team he plays on, I want my team to beat the other team man to man not because of injuries. For example, I am a Capitols fan in hockey, do not like Sidney Crosby but hate to see him going thru the concussion issue. Much rather have the Caps beat him on the ice.
  4. Wow....how far below the bridge does the water normally run?
  5. Congrats on doing the right thing!!!!!
  6. My club does anglers vs. anglers, and co-anglers vs. co-anglers. The blind draw is done the Sunday prior to the tourney.
  7. Take some time off, family is way way more important then money and work.
  8. Not an issue at all unless they lie, steal, are messy, etc. Basically a generally bad roommate.
  9. How is one roommate being g.ay a disaster? Have had multiple g.ay roommates, much prefer them to people that had an actual problems.
  10. I don't doubt the pic is authentic, but have to admit the hand towards the tail of the fish looks odd. Doesn't seem to match the arm position but nothing more then camera angle.
  11. If it hasn't been done, make sure to change the fuel lines to the ones specifically for ethanol fuels.
  12. The loud systems usually do not bother me, only in two cases. One, the bass is so jacked that it causes the car to rattle. If you are going to put money into a car do it right. Two, the people in the car go into a store but leave the stereo turned up. If you are not in the car what is the point of letting it play? I have done a little upgrades to my car, nothing major since its just for my enjoyment not any shows. Did not want to go for something loud and thumping which made the music sound horrible. Upgraded to a Pioneer Avic head unit, component speakers in the front, coax in the rear doors, 12in sub in the back, with separate amps for the speakers/sub, and a capacitor on the sub. For my little Scion xB RS7 it does its job just fine.
  13. No, have not looked into them enough to give a decent answer. I am sure someone will chime in with a good answer.
  14. The only one is the list I currently have is the Vendetta, a 7ft MH version, it is not bad for the money. I have heard good things about the Carbonlite, but no direct experience with them. For the money I would go with a Falcon Bucco, nicely balance, lightweight, and sensitivity is good.
  15. Casting or Spinning? What techniques you planning to use it for? What is your budget?
  16. I am interested, just let me know.
  17. The gate is never locked at Black Hills, i have been on the water at 5:30 and wasn't the first one launched
  18. Welcome slaynbass365, there is a local club in germantown called fish on bass anglers (www.fishonbassclub.com). Great group of guys. Ifyou have any questions about it let me know.
  19. Black Hills is getting into is tough to fish time frame, have a tourney there on Sept. 10th going to be a tough one. My tourney tomorrow is at Smallwood State Park, have an idea of what the plans are. Got some question marks due to the loss of grass, algae bloom, and water temps in the low 90's. Any update on the get together?
  20. Yeah, forgot to include my tow vehicle will be a Nissan Titan 4x4, will not have an issue towing.
  21. If things go correctly I will be looking to get a used boat in a month or so. I have had a small jon boat before, that is it so not much experience. I started fishing some local club tourneys last year, before then I had never been in a bass boat at speed before. My question is, if you have $15k to spend on a used boat with the inexperience I listed above what would you look for? My friends in my bass club seem divided on aluminum vs. glass, I really do not want a jet boat so not sure if aluminum offers much of an advantage. Only thing I can think of is less change of damage into docks, or stumps when I make inevitable mistakes.
  22. The email Lund is a good idea, but personally would not use the first line. Saying "I'm sorry that you were delayed from making our previously scheduled meeting." makes it sound like it is his fault. Also, do not use contractions in business message, go ahead and spell everything out. Sorry Lund, not trying to beat on what you put, just giving my thoughts... I would go with "I am sorry we were unable to meet at our first appointment".
  23. A lot will be up to personal choice, if you can visit a tackle store where you can hold different combinations. What feels good to one person may not feel as good to another. A 7ft to 7ft 6in MH rod with a fast action covers most fishing scenerio's. My personal choice would be a Dobyns SS743C and a Revo STX.
