  1. BassinLou, I also had the stent for a few days. While I was glad the kidney stone pain was gone that stent was no fun at all. So glad to get it removed, although that part was...lets say odd. when they did my procedure they could not find the stone, somewhere between going into the hospital and surgery it must have passed but because of the loss of function and elevated white blood cell count they did the stent anyway.
  2. Still argueing about Toyota because of an available 4 cylinder? Have you checked the Ford Fusion's list of motors, how many cylinders? where is it built, hint not in the US. The Chevy SS is an Australian car, Holden Commodore, rebadged as a Chevy.
  3. If you can swim a kayak would be a good option, just be mindful SML is large don't get out into the main lake the waves from big boats would not be to fun.
  4. The intense pain is from your kidney's being to full because urine can't move from there to the bladder. Also the kidney will swell. If you were able to empty the kidney some the pain will subside. Keep a close eye on your temp, if you get a fever get to the doctor. When I had mine my white blood cell count went up, and I lost about 25% of function in that kidney. That is why they did surgery instead of letting it pass.
  5. F1 started off the season with a surprise winner. Seems 3 or 4 teams are fast, looks like it will come down to tracks and conditions of who will win. Take a look at World Challenge also, racing like the old Trans Am series in the 60's and 70's The diversity of cars and equipment in the ALMS is great also.
  6. I feel your pain, had one in end of last year. I have had shingles, diverticulitis, broken bones, and nothing even came close to this. Hope everything passes quick. I cannot answer your question, mine got stuck so I had surgical removal.
  7. All marketing, the racing became secondary a long time ago. The basic description of all of their races, people lead until caution, once the restart settles down that person leads until the next one, close to the end something will happen to make them talk about who can make it on fuel, and repeatedly updating everyone on how far Danica is behind. The commentators don't help, they are so into kissing Nascar's rear. For example, Darrel Waltrip raved about how much better having wings on the cars were, they allowed the drivers to catch them when the got lose. When the were removed, it became how horrible they were, how it was so hard to catch them if they got lose, were so hard to drive.
  8. That hit is the reason we have this rule, why lead with the head. Put his shoulder into the player instead, way more power in doing that. I think it is very telling that Jim Brown, one of the greatest and most punishing runners ever is in favor of this rule.
  9. Week to week you can just repeat this thread with a different track name.
  10. I want to see a video of a run which will become a penalty by this rule that is actually a good run.
  11. It is not as bad as people want you to think, only open field using the helmet as a weapon. Nothing to do with running hard up the inside, or bracing for or delivering a hard hit. Very few actual penalties for this one.
  12. One of my favorites, would love to fish with him for a day.
  13. Glad you are okay! The idea of getting a kayak comes to mind periodically, but I cannot swim and the danger of something like this keeps from doing it. Although I always were my life vest when I am in a boat no matter what the weather is.
  14. When fishing the heavy grass the last rod I am going to pick up is a spinning combo. Right now use a 7ft 6in heavy/fast with 65lb braid, when a good fish gets into the thick stuff you will appreciate every bit of the winching power. To make it a whole lot more interested make it a 36 inch snakehead in the thick stuff.....
  15. The reel is like a winch, gives a lot of power to get fish out of heavy cover. Notice how the setup is similar to a winch on the front of a truck. Spinning can do it but not as well.
  16. Oh, forgot to mention take a look at the Frederick watershed area. A few ponds in it, some close to roads others a little hike thru the woods to get to.
  17. The place I am referring to is Chevy Chase Lake, Urbana Fish Management area. Not a huge place but looks pretty good. My daughter and I went there once and did okay. Need to go up myself and see what I can figure out when I am not entertaining a kid.
  18. Welcome FisherHuntress, I used to live in Frederick now down in Germantown. There is a pond just off 270 and the 80 exit. Been there once is got a couple nice fish. Plan on heading there a few more times this year. When I get home from work I will send you more details on how to get there.
  19. I always use FIrefox, but on smartphones I have had better luck with the Chrome browser.
  20. Nice Sean, a 10 pound crap.....tmi
  21. 1. Pay attention 2. Set the hook on anything that feels or looks different
  22. With flouro there are some more limp but they tend to be the ones which have more stretch than most people believe it will have also. A lot of people have very good luck using KVD L&L to make it easier to manage. I have moved to almost all flouro, except on topwater rods, because the slack line sensitivity is a lot better.
  23. All that is worth doing takes effort. Jigs are worth the growing pains of getting used to them. What setup (rod, reel, line) were you using?
  24. Unfortunately you can count me out, have to go to Minnesota that weekend for a friends wedding. Can't blow it off, my wife is in the wedding party...
  25. Reports are saying that Ed Reed will also sign with the 49er's, hope Joe likes his money because it may cost the Ravens other vital parts of the team.
