  1. Keep in mind that not all rod ratings are the same, two rods with are listed as MH may feel completely different. One closer to M while the other is closer to H. If possible best to check out each rod in person so you get a feel for them.
  2. Spinning or baitcast? For spinning would not go above 10lb Invizx on reels up to 2500 size. If baitcast, for the situation you describe I would choose either 12lb or 15lb Abrazx
  3. Anywhere from 6'6" to 7'6" depending on the situation. Its a cast which can be made with any rod, both spinning and baitcast. It is a matter of comfort and the situation not a specific setup.
  4. I also have the 765CB Glass, mine has a Curado 200E5. Love it for the baits you have listed.
  5. Need to switch out our water heater, thinking about going with a tankless unit. Like the option of electric and space savings. Just do not know anyone who has experience with them. Any pro's or con's to installing one?
  6. To me if you go that reaction you were close, would have tried a different color and/or a bait which had a little more action to it. You got their attention but not enough to bite, a slight change may have been all that was necessary.
  7. Location, you can best the absolute best at everything else but if you can't find the right spots for the conditions nothing good comes out.

  9. Accuracy is by far more important than distance when pitching. Your distance is fine, concentrate on being able to hit small targets consistently and with as soft of a touch down as possible.
  10. I really like mine, it is paired with a Curado 50E. Well like it enough to buy a matching set, only difference is line weight (12lb and 20lb Abrazx). They perform very well.
  11. It closes December 15th, but don't expect them to go shallow.
  12. As long as the water is not frozen keep fishing, some good fish can be caught during the winter months.
  13. Chronarch CI4+ paired with a Dobyns DX745C.
  14. Interesting to see all the votes for Toyota, I didn't realize they made a 2500 size truck.........
  15. Anyone been to dickerson recently? Wondering how the canal is, have the day off work and can't seem to find anyone with a boat to fish with so thinking about going there.
  16. Will keep on fishing unless there is lightening, then its time to retreat. I love fishing but it is not worth dying over. Some of my best days of fishing have been in the rain.
  17. The part about the blank which bothers me the most is the rods are advertised as a one piece. To see a rod advertised as a one piece when it is not to me is false advertisement. I am sure there is some loophole or such that allows this and they are not breaking the law but as a potential customer this raises questions to me.
  18. Negative reviews are a fact of life and forums without them are useless. The only thing is to handle them properly which this OP does, at least in my opinion. It is not a post to bash the vendor but provide information to the users of this site which is the intended purpose. It is rather disturbing to see the two piece blank, but surprising to say the least to see the grooving in the guides. With advances in materials it should not be difficult to use materials where this does not occur. Very interested in hearing what customer support says about it.
  19. I don't think you can justify letting a player, QB or whoever else, get into a play as a potential tackler or blocker and then restrict who can hit him. If a QB does not want to be hit like every other player then do not get into the middle of the play. If he was on the other side of the field I could see it being illegal, but not when he was in the middle of the play. As for a judging at game speed that a player is "on his way down anyway" that is not going to happen and shouldn't. You play until the whistle, having some players think he is "on the way down" and others still playing because they don't see it the same way will lead to more injuries.
  20. I would go back to the 8lb Invizx, those methods of fishing have a lot of slack line which straight flouro will be a LOT more sensitive. Braid is extremely sensitive when its tight but its not a dense line so it does not transmit bites well when slack.
  21. You should be okay with 30, but wouldn't go below that. Personal opion, go with 40 to give a little extra comfort that it won't dig.
  22. Anyone have any thoughts on what is going on at Smith Mountain. Have a club tourney there in two weeks, only been there once before so not sure what to try. We are putting in around the state park, any help would be greatly appreciated.
  23. The schedulemis out, it will be the next to last event of the year
  24. If you want an abrasion resistant flouro at a good price. Go with Abrazx on the bc gear, Invizx is good but on spinning gear. It is not as abrasion resistant and has to much stretch for this application.
  25. No fishing for me this holiday weekend, but just my normal heads up. Club is having a tourney on Black Hills this saturday, first light will be a little busy around the ramp.
