  1. Aluminum will not rust at all, shed a lot of weight too. Ford says 700lbs, not sure it meets that but it is noticable when driving it. Black is my favorite color for trucks, its harder to keep clean but looks so good especially with the chrome package. Need to get a pic of the front, the black with chrome on the front grille looks great. Oddly I think the oddest change is going from a backup camera in the rear view mirror to the display being in the 8 inch My Touch screen.
  2. I used KVD L&L everytime I spool a reel, and the night before each trip. Almost all my setups are flouro and the conditioner makes a big improvement in the handling of the line. Less coils and line attempting to jump off spinning reels.
  3. Picked up a 2015 F150 3.5L Ecoboost yesterday, has the aluminum body. Surprised at the different between the 2013 and the 2015 with the weight loss, you can tell the difference. A lot more options in this one too which is nice.
  4. woohoo....but where are the pics of the fish catching machine?
  5. Close tie for me, standing outside work at the smoking area two women were having a talk about breeding their dogs. Then one made a comment she needed to neuter her dog but she was holding off because she heard they can't have puppies afterwards..... Second, in a fast food place listening to a conversation of two high school age girls having a discussion about whether chickens were birds... Well a third in regards to BR, seeing post from people claiming no one should be a rod/reel because they didn't like it so no one else should.
  6. Savvy not sensitive...interesting that I win tourneys with it using it for finesse presentations...never moving baits
  7. My experience with online classes was great, and the degree has helped in my career. As stated make sure you go to an accredited university with a respected program. The hardest part is remaining disciplined getting thru the work, make sure to involve yourself in the conversation topics each week.
  8. Degree is in cyber security and my job is a cyber forensic analyst.
  9. Take them out and charge at home...
  10. J Franco....referring to those hooksets that as you reel in the fish you start to wonder "why did I actually set the hook..."
  11. Custom 7ft 4in ML spinning from DVT paired with a CI4. It is spooled with 8lb Invizx. For casting, Dobyns DX742 paired with a Chronarch CI4+, spooled with 12lb Abrazx.
  12. Generally I hold my rod with the tip high, when a bite is felt I drop the tip, reel down then set the hook. Keeps me from setting it to quick and pulling the bait away from them. Equipment wise, it all depends on what you are throwing and what conditions. Make sure the rod has enough backbone to handle the task.
  13. The scar on the my chin and my nickname "chatterface" resulted from this. Just was not my own hookset....
  14. Take a look at the schematic of the reel they are rather insane. If not 100% comfortable send it to Mike. He has cleaned my reels the last few years and I cannot recommend him enough.
  15. It sounds like it needs a deep cleaning, Reel Butter is lube not cleaner.
  16. Heads up, drove over the Black Hills last night, not fishing just going for a walk with the wife. But, there are signs going in saying the road the entrance to the park is on will be closed effective April 27th. Cannot find any information about how long it will be closed. It appears they are replacing the bridge right before the park entrance, looks like we will need to go into the park from the 355 side for awhile. If I find out how long it will be closed will post an update.
  17. 90 minute full body deep tissue massage....
  18. Yeah, that seemed to be the day. Good in the morning but no size then everything disappeared. My first tourney there will be May 9th, should be a completely different place by then. Last year at that time it took over 20lbs to win, right now 17-18lbs would most likely be okay.
  19. Good luck in your tourney's this weekend, I do not have one this weekend but will be at Lake Gaston for a 2 day tourney next week. Cannot wait, love fishing Gaston just hoping for some decent weather this time.
  20. I bought a MacBook Pro a little while ago as my first Apple product, needed to learn it for work anyway but also to try it for my pics and my wifes horse show videos. It quickly became the most used system in the house. Even my wife who is not a techie will use it over the other laptops which are all Windows based. It is a little bit of a learning curve but not to bad. It just plain works.
  21. I owe you an apology Allen, after talking to you on the ramp briefly I didn't realize it was you until about 45 minutes later when I had an out of the blue moment of clarity. Sorry I did not stop and talk more, after 2 days on Anna, and a lack of sleep was out of it. I am sorry. We stopped and fished for crappie for a little while to start, got a little mess of them for my boaters dinner. Bass fishing started out okay, mostly a jerkbait bite, but died around noon. Everything disappeared including the crappie we were catching earlier, depth finder was barren so we called it a day.
  22. Do a forum search there are a lot of different threads, and as many opinions on it as there are members of the forum. Personally, I use Flouro for almost everything except topwaters. Only different is braid for heavy grass flipping, punching and frogging. There will be a lot of people tell you braid with or without a leader. For brands, Flouro is either Seaguar Invizx for spinning and Abrazx for baitcasters. Braid is power pro.
  23. Okay, wasn't sure just heard it was this weekend so wanted to get that out. I have a tourney on Lake Anna Saturday so that will entail my fishing for the weekend between prefishing friday and the tourney itself. Not sure when I will get to BH, may not be until my tourney there early May.
  24. Talking to a friend about an issue he is having with his 175hp Mercury EFI. He needs to give it a little throttle when he starts it to get it to run, and it will idle a little rough. When on plane it runs great, just the start up and idle concerns. The mechanic has gone over it twice and said everything looks great and just turned up the idle a little bit. Kind of stumped at what this may be, anyone got some ideas or similiar experiences with the same issue.
  25. The persian festival is at Black Hills this weekend. It will be extremely packed...
