  1. Welcome Chris, nice to see someone from my hometown. Congrats on the boat, perfect for running the upper potomac. Been awhile since I fished up there, currently down in Germantown, used to fishing down here. Things to keep an mind though are get used to "reading" the waters surface for any slightly submerged rocks. And there is not need to run WOT get a good comfortable cruising speed and keep your eyes open. As for fishing it, same basic things you looked for wading. Breaks in current, deeper holes, and eddies. Smallies like current but will hide behind rocks or hang along the edge created by faster moving water meeting slower moving water.
  2. Delaware Valley Tackle....
  3. Interesting Fried Lemons, didn't realize they were that close to me. May have to make a trip there. I was fishing Pennyfield lot until they drained it, did very well there for awhile. But haven't been in that area of the canal for a couple years.
  4. I have the music I want to listen to on a USB drive, have a few hours to listen to.
  5. Or Pandora....I hate regular radio stations all it is is commercials and idiot DJ's trying to act like they are all cool...
  6. What part of the canal are you fishing with the snakeheads around?
  7. Well Volfan, about the other QB balls being checked. The Patriots were not the only team with deflated balls in that game. This is another thing which goes on all the time, other QB's even admitted to it in public they had it done. The same with the prior video taping, they were not the only ones, just the ones called out. The NFL was in a bad spot when it went to federal court where actual evidence and procedure are required. Not the half done job of people who think they run everything.
  8. They had 0 evidence Brady did anything wrong and the NFL contradicted their own report in testimony before the judge. The decision was obvious.
  9. Flouro for spinning reels will have stretch, nothing you can do about that. However there is benefits to sensitivity due to its density especially on slack line. Personally I have the best luck with Seaguar Invizx in 8lb in everything you list except jigs. I go with baitcast gear for those.
  10. Take the education and work towards a marketing degree. During this time you can learn bass fishing. The marketing degree would be a huge benefit when it comes to sponsorships.
  11. Cunningham Falls park has a lake which holds some nice bass. Easily fished from shore
  12. I have that exact rod for my deeper cranking setup, its paired with a Curado 200E5. It works great, as mentioned before it is slightly heavier than graphite but not much at all. Anybody I handed the rod to did not realize it was glass. I have not found any little annoyances with it at all. I have thrown 16ft to 22ft diving cranks without any concern at all.
  13. Yep, handles for the non-drivers to somewhat remain in the seat during the "fun" rides...had to use those on a few occasions
  14. They are going down here too, and the talk is they will be down 60-70 cents per gallon over the next month or two. Will believe it when I see it though.
  15. We had motor issues so we could only hit the part around the lighthouse and towards the Lakeside Inn. The humps offshore at the weed edges, kept the boat ~12 feet and worked the edges.
  16. Was just up at Cobbossee for a week....outstanding fishing all week. Largemouth up to 6.5lbs, and smallies a little over 5 (not by me but the guy I was fishing with unfortunately). We are completely different styles, his was on swimbait or spinnerbait. Most of mine were t-rigged craws or swivel heads with various plastics in green pumpkin or watermelon/red. Also got a few on popper, jerkbaits, jigs, and shakeyheads.
  17. Do NOT go over the rated power.
  18. That is correct, you cannot switch it. It is 100% personal preference, I am also right handed on spinning reels I hold the rod with my right hand and reel with my left. With baitcasters its the opposite I use a RH reel so I hold the rod in my left and reel with my right hand, and this is a very common way. But you best option is to hold different ones and see what feels right to you. Your comfort with its use is all that matters.
  19. Have not caught Slipknot yet...hopefully soon Hard to pick between front row to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, or Mayhem Festival with Five Finger Death Punch, Lamb of God, Rob Zombie, and Korn as the main stage. These may be beat in Philly this October for Rock Allegiance http://rockallegiance.com/

  21. 7ft 4in custom from DVT with a Stadic CI4 Dobyns DX742 with Chronarch CI+4
  22. Love my Chronarch CI+4, no flex at all. Pairs very well with the Dobyns DX742.
  23. I agree with Catt that stretch does not affect sensitivity, no where near the pressure in a bite to cause any stretch. However, the difference in sensitivity will be based on density. The higher density lines will carry the vibrations better, for example braid is not dense at all and has next to no slack line sensitivity.
  24. Almost time to head up, can't wait. Anyone know how fishing is going up there?
