  1. That I have not seen before.
  2. yes, its a common thing during the unpredictable spring months when spawning takes place.
  3. Last night, it was Disturbed, Rob Zombie, and Pop Evil at the Giant Center in Hershey PA. Really good show, first time seeing Disturbed and Pop Evil live both did great. Zombie always puts on a great show.
  4. Its all personal preferences, no need to get bashed for it. I love mine, paired with a 7ft 4in ML custom from DVT with 8lb Invizx flouro. Compared to my other Stradic's and Pflueger's it performs better. But we are all different and you have to find a reel which matches what you like. I am sure you would have no issues selling it.
  5. Was there a month ago and the spawn was pretty much over then, a few on beds but I would bet money they are gone now. If I was doing now, I would look at docks (there are a ton of them), rip rap around the bridges, and points that have grass on them. Love Lake Gaston!
  6. Dobyns champion 765CB with a curado 200e5. Works great. I have mine spooled with 12lb abrazx flouro.
  7. The Boomerang tool Doyle shows above is outstanding, even works great when the braid is not tight.
  8. Generally the left side is open and deeper than you would expect. However, I do agree with just trolling motoring it out to the main river. My main concern though would be running the prop motor on the upper at all. There are a lot of areas which shallow up quickly with large rocks. Have hit numerous ones running an aluminum jet. The boat bounces off and keeps going, a prop would be destroyed.
  9. No such thing as to much power, especially in TM's. Will you need it all the time, no. However, windy days, surprise storms, or just getting around the electric only lake all power is useful. Instead of running a smaller motor at a higher setting which runs batteries down quicker you can get the same speed at a lower setting. And you still the extra in reserve for when you need to hustle it a little. Get the largest one you can buy and have battery space for.
  10. Another area of concern would be the trailer, make sure its suitable for the salt.
  11. I did the whole starting over around the same age as you are now. With a separation/divorce going on I found out who my actual friends were. I walked away from everything, only a couple people and some family were around when I was done. Even changed jobs thanks to some downsizing. Changed hobbies, got back into fishing more, moved an hour away. Could not have worked about better, so much happier now. Now wonder how I put up with all I did for a few years. Sometimes it takes walking away and starting over to find happiness. Good luck to you.

  13. What county do you live in? Would help narrow it down
  14. It is illegal and should be the end of this discussion on BR. Do people do it yes, people commit other crimes everyday also. Getting away with it does not make it okay.
  15. Just my normal heads up, this Saturday is my clubs tourney on Black Hills. The ramp will be very busy just before launch at 6am and at 2:30. If I remember correctly there are 17 boats all going in and out about the same time.
  16. Honestly it depends on the day. Somedays out to catch the most weight i can. Studying up and trying to figure things out. Some days i dont care about anything other than enjoying time on the water, not caring if i catch anything.
  17. Its personal preference, some do perfectly fine on all BC or all spinning. But for me I want to keep with the "best tool for the job", each type of setups have their strengths. Lighter weight baits and dropshot are things that tend to work better on spinning.
  18. I used a 7ft mh with either 12 or 20lb flouro depending on how this the grass is. The reel is a 6.1:1 gear ratio. Generally the same setup as spinnerbaits.
  19. There are still plenty of options for Brady, thru the players union, to appeal this decision. Not a guarantee they will but I would be surprised if they didn't, especially after the chief judge voted against the NFL and gave his reasons why. This decision had nothing to do with whether they believed Brady did anything wrong, only that the NFL (Goodell) followed procedures per the collective bargaining agreement in a fair manner.
  20. Fished a tourney at Gaston this weekend. Was down for 4 days. There was a complete mixed, some on beds, some guarding fry while others showed no signs of spawning yet. The weather up and down has them all over the place.
  21. Welcome to the forums. Check out the NorthEast section, there is a Maryland Who's Who thread with a lot of guys from our area, I am in Germantown. Bunch of good guys and information on the places in the area.
  22. Its a very well known scam, they try to switch things from Craigslist to Ebay by sending you a link to click on to complete the sale. The link is not to a valid Ebay site, any information is sent to the criminals to steal your identity. The email with links will look very well done, most of time they pull actual Ebay graphics and mimic actual Ebay emails.
  23. I am the same as J Franco, bass especially largemouth are nasty to eat, yes I know some of you have some great recipe for how to batter them up. I am not referring to covering them up so much you don't notice the actual fish. There are much better fish for table fare.
  24. If they were stolen at a gas station were they not swiped at the pump? I have not seen any switched to the chip. When swipping the chip plays no part.
