  1. Whats the best thing to put in your boat to keep the mice out during storage?
  2. Thanks fellas!
  3. Does anyone know what happened to their web site. I haven't been able to access it for quit a while. Is it just me?
  4. Basswagoner, I would really like to see some pics of how you do that, I'm a little confused :-/. Does that produce full round baits?
  5. Hey Ball-Coach, you just spent 10 hrs on a boat Sunday that has that prop. MINE!! You never mentioned it. I put it on at the end of last year and I dont like it. Vibrates like hell and sucks in the weeds. I'll have it off before our next tournament
  6. It's one of my favorite lures
  7. This illegal in my state as it falls under the hunter harassment law.
  8. The store I get mine at only has one kind so I really can't be of any help or even tell you what it is other than Mog- Pog
  9. You can get it at any craft store
  10. Hey Nick, I use Mog-Pog on mine. Let it dry very well and you'll be good to go.
  11. Just my opinion, but if your spending that kind of money I would consider fiberglass.
  12. I've used tire weights for making my decoy anchors and that lead sucks. way to many impurities. They made very brittle anchors and I needed soft weights. But if they will work for you, I melt my lead on a coleman stove in a soup pan, been doing it for years on the same stove. The older ones had heavier grates that will support the pot even when red hot. Once the weights melt all the impurities will float to the top and can be skimmed off no problem. If you need a softer finished product the best lead I've found has been the sheet lead thats used on flat roofs, also the lead out of x-ray machines is great stuff. be careful that there isnt any moisture in or on the lead, if you put it in the pot after some lead is already melted there's going to be fireworks
  13. Iwas surprized to see Ohio 20th. Where Ohio maybe different than alot of states is that you will most likely NEVER see a state record fish come out of public waters. The next state or world record smallie may come from our part of Erie but other than that our biggest fish come from farm ponds. We have a ODNR that concentrates more on stocking fish that EAT bass fry than producing bass. I wish our bass fishing community would voice their opinion about this more than they do. The bass fisher men in this state out number muskie, walleye and steelhead fishermen probably 20 to 1, but, there is no stocking programs for bass and millions spent stocking other fish.
  14. CJBasswacker, you never fail to make me laugh ;D
  15. I found this on another sight and thought it might be helpful. My bait pictures never come out worth a hoot. I'm looking forward to trying it. Take a sheet of white poster board (paper will work, too), very cheap at Wal-mart. Bend the board so about 1/2 the board is flat on a tabletop or counter top. Use a stack of books or the wall to support the other 1/2 of the board which should be vertical (standing up). This will put a nice, gentle curve in the board and help eliminate distracting shadows when you photograph. Place the lure near the beginning of the curve. Next, frame up the lure so there is minimal background. Too much white empty space is a bad thing. Also, if you are using a digital camera, use the macro focusing mode. Macro allows you to get super close with you camera and still have a focused picture. So many pics I see on this sight are out of focus. Get the camera close, try not to use too much zoom. On the camera, look for a little button with an icon that looks like a black tulip. Also, check the cameras manual, it should explain it there. Get the camera close and push the shutter button down about halfway. This will lock in the focus and you can check the picture on the LCD screen (the little TV on the back of the digital camera) before you actually take the picture. I agree with the others, sunlight is the best kind of light, but electric light from an lamp or overhead light will work, too. Do not use a flash, that light it too strong with the camera so close. When you're ready, take the picture! Hope this helps. _________________

    New baits

http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c330/cedar1_/plasticbaits007.jpg These are some new baits I'm pouring. There's some cool hi-lites the camera doesnt show. What do you think?
  18. How much and whats the payout. Thanks
  19. It's a matter of timing when your pouring two colors or pouring molds that have thin and thick areas. I can say though that you are not "building watches" with a litlle practice you'll figure out how to pour each mold the most effectively" and most important, don't doubt what guys like SenkoSam are telling you. they're talking from experience and trying to help you
  20. Will, I use popcorn salt and it seems to work well without grinding. Gobbledog, you can add tons of different scents and other things in your plastic, just make sure it's not water based or your going to have big problems
  21. Well' the way I come up with that? #1 I don't buy molds, with a research you will find that making your own molds is very cheap if you build them out of plaster or other mat'l. thats out there. I'm talking making a number of molds out of 5-10 bucks of plaster of paris. Scent, dye and even the right salt go a long way after you get past the learning curve. I guess if your looking to start mass producing right out of the box and want to drop a bunch of money before you know whats happening, yes, you would have to pour a lot of baits to get the cost down. I can break it down for you to the cent if you want, but to make it simple with plastic (one gallon, dye three colors, scent I make myself, salt I pay very little for I can pour enough baits for myself to keep it very inexpensive. I don't need 40 different colors because I'm only pouring what works for me. If you want alum. molds and high production pots, etc., yes, it will be hard to pour that cheap for quit some time unless you have a major customer you are supplying.
  22. Senkos 70 cents apiece, Custom hand pours. 10-15 cents
  23. Del- Mart molds is about the only guy making alum. molds right now and his customer service is slow to say the least. Making your own one or two part mold is very easy and there is lots of advice around on how to do it. www. tackleunderground.com
  24. Rattlin, got any pics of those baits yet?
