  1. I would like to add...it's gonna be really tough to luck into a 9+ anywhere in this state. Impossible? Maybe not but my guess is current record will stand many years.
  2. Sauk. Heard its full of big fish now.
  3. I fish my Sliders on a St Croix Avid 6'3" M/XF, Daiwa Exceler 2500 and 6lb Trilene XT or Fireline 4/10. That is my dedicated Slider rig but I sometimes use the 6'8" Avid M/XF instead.
  4. I use St Croix Premier 66MH/F and 66M/F for my spinnerbaits. No buzzbaits for me!
  5. I have done this many times already. My choices do not reflect mega dollars spent but I get what I need from St Croix Avids, Premiers and Shimano Crucials. I do have others, including 6 or 7 customs, but those are all built on Avid or Premier blanks too. I guess maybe I have a very good sense of feel in my hands because they are plenty sensitive to me and are built with great components. So, given the situation of "cost is no concern" I'll find something from the long list of St Croix Avids to satisfy my requirements...again.
  6. Holy crap...how old are you? Manns Jelly Worm in black for me or a spinnerbait in white.
  7. Had this porpoising problem with my first boat. Solution was to raise engine. Worked great after that.
  8. 56? That's mighty impressive for a 115 considering the load. Wish I was close enough to see that.
  9. But...the hooks don't appear to be very decorative??
  10. Don't say that!
  11. I've put in my time and $$$ doing the prop tuning thing enough to know that I will go 4 blade every time, without hesitation. If I was only worried about top speed then I'd consider 3 blade but if you work it right you can get a good 4 blade pretty darn close to your best 3 blade efforts and come out ahead all around. If you're gonna fish, go 4. If you're gonna fish competitively and every fraction on top is your obsession, go 3. If you put in the time to dial both to best results and then compare, I'd bet you'll choose 4 in the end. I currently run 2 different Trophy Plus (4 blades) on my rig...spring and fall colder temps 25p and 24p in the summer heat. I want to try a 23p Hi-5 now just to see what I can get out of it.
  12. We went through this same bs with Pinnacle, even worse actually. Felt the same way.
  13. So, what are you saying about the SCS225's, that they're junk now? They were good in 2005 but now they're not even though they are the same thing?
  14. I use a mod/fast or fast. I don't care for mod action at all, for anything.
  15. Lol...miss her do ya Roger?
  16. Was nothing wrong with that! I thought it was funny, and he made his point.
  17. I have no experience with chatters...yet, but can't imagine fishing them fast at all. They don't look like they'd lend themselves to any level of "fast" so a slower reel (more power) seems to make good sense to me.
  18. What?
  19. Well, we aren't going there. It's obvious that I don't care for them and we'll just leave it at that for now. Sorry to disappoint.
  20. I wouldn't have a Lews in this lifetime or the next 5!?
  21. I had a bunch of Gen 1 SX and SC and aside from slightly finicky brakes I liked them. Very solid reel, never had any problems with them except on windy days.
  22. If I was to head up that way, I'd spend my time on Woman Lake.
  23. Plus, you can't change it and I like having that option. Gators are always shredding the strands so they need replacing sometimes. Bands for me too.
