  2. I have at least 10! Us old bassers have always called them sissy sticks as a joke among us. Wasn't us that got offended by this, but the walleye guys used to get all wadded up about it for some reason.
  3. I have the Minn Kota 330PC. I'm on my 3rd season with it, which isn't real long but I've had no issues with it at all so far. Is way lighter and smaller than others. Doesn't take up a lot of space. I'm happy with it. Dual Pro are good too! I've had a few and never had a problem with any of them.
  4. I like the Producto Spring Worm. One of my favorite colors is Tequila Sunrise. They are the most flexible ring worm I've fished. They have a flat tail, not the hook tail most others have. I sometimes throw straight black on drop shot to (try to) imitate a leech.
  5. I use a file on my phillips tip to fit it perfect. Heat tip with small torch, press into screw head and let heat sink in for few minutes before trying to remove. Works for me every time! Didn't think of the soldering iron idea. I like that too.
  6. You'd be surprised how hard core some of the winter rats are. I've known guys to chisel out the ramp area to get to open water and fished with one guy who'd use his boat to break ice away from favorite spots. I love to fish but i'm not going to spend hours breaking and moving ice. To witness such passion is awesome though.
  7. I had 5 or 6 1st Gen Revo SX and SC and liked them...except in the wind. When I sold them after 5 years of use they still looked new but was lucky if I got half what I paid for them new. As popular as they were I thought they'd bring more.
  8. And don't forget the Legends that will show up soon!
  9. TD 150P gear set (5:1) installed in TD 153 HSTA is a workhorse! Add the Carbontex drag kit while you’re in there!
  10. Good to hear from you! I was just looking around for you a couple weeks ago. Checked last visit/post date etc just to make sure you're still coming around. Love the coloring book comment!
  11. Ask Thorne Bros. Don’t know if they’ll sell ya one but I think they get black SC-V’s from Croix.
  12. I've not thrown any rods that I recall but have tossed a couple ABU Garcia Ultra Mag XLT's that pushed me too many times. That was quite a few years ago though.
  13. Yup, time to do a little hunting and work on the truck now.
  14. Put my boat away last weekend. Got tired of the gators! I had good days and average days this fall, none bad unless you add in the gator bite. If I never caught another d**n gator it wouldn’t bother me a minute of my remaining days on this earth.? looking forward to next season now.
  15. Ripley is a good looking pup! She will be your fishing buddy just because she will want to be where you are. I just lost my best buddy in June but when I'm feeling ready again I hope my new pal will fish with me too.
  16. Ummm....somehow I don’t think THAT song quite fits this situation. ?
  17. Luck of the draw, unless you run a wire leader. Sometimes they'll get you're line, sometimes they won't. Wire leader is about you're only option.
  18. Lol...wow, that’s OLD!
  19. Don’t you have a boat? Thought you had a 20’ Ranger??
  20. I've tried running splits on my 7's and it's a friggin' joke, at least for me. If you wish to run splits a lot then my advice is go big.
  21. This is me too, for the most part. I've always used 17lb XT but I've begun experimenting with 25lb now and I'm liking it. There are some situations where I prefer Fireline but mono is my overall favorite. 25lb mono and a H/XF rod....heck yeah!
  22. Yeah! Nice catch!
  23. There ya go! Gotta love it when somebody answers the questions AND provides the solution. If you can’t fix it yourself(and I’m guessing you can’t) send it to Mike and get it done right!
  24. The HSTA is one of the best they’ve ever built. The Tatula is a better caster but the HSTA is the better choice for true HD use.
