  1. I just sold my old boat and I am starting too look at various fiberglass bass boats. Ive been looking Skeeters and Stratos boat lines, used of course. What do you like as far as size? I want something that is very stable and is not blown by the wind so easily. Looking at 18'6 to 22' foot size boats mainly. Anybody have opinions on Skeeter and Stratos boat lines?
  2. :-?I would definitely go with the 70lb thruster! I owned a Alum. Deep-V boat, 17 ft. These boats catch a lot of wind because they have a higher profile and are lighter. In my neck of the woods the wind is usually blowing at least 15mph most of the time and I used the motorguide 72lb thruster all the time.
  3. I have a Eagle Fisheasy 2 and Fishmark 320 and they both suck! My advice is too stay away from Eagle products. I've had nothing but problems with their fishfinders since day one.
  4. I like Bassmasters and In-Fisherman.
  5. When trailer hook rigging, do you guys let the hook freely swing or do you use tubing to keep it stiff. Saw Hank Parkers show, he lets the hook just swing without any tubing. I have never done it that way. Just wondering if its more effective. ???
  6. Try waterdogs(aka salamanders) they catch big bass too. Theyre sometimes expensive but theyre tough and usually survive a couple of bass bites.
  7. Top of Texas, Amarillo, TX that is.
  8. I guess both surface and subsurface weeds, I dont know names. Ive been fishing a lake that has both. The bottom weeds looks like moss, the top is stringy and open and not as thick. The shoreline was mainly reeds. ;D
  9. Whats your most productive lure or technique for fishing thick weeds?
  10. Dangit I did forget to sharpen the hook point! Anyone ever put a 7inch worm as a trailer?
  11. Anyone have tips and tricks for fishing weedless spoons? Fished a Johnson Silver Minnow this past weekend but missed 3 hookups before I gave up. Just couldnt drive the hook all the way. Used 7ft Med/Hvy baitcasting rod with 20lb mono. All help, tips, tricks, and secrets for fishing this lure will be appreciated!!!!!!! ;D
  12. Hey GY Senkos are great but I'm not willing to pay for it! But this is America and if there is demand for a high dollar GY Senko, there's nothing wrong with him supplying it. Capitalism, the American way. :)I'll just keep throwing my $2.99 per bag Tikki Stiks. ;D
  13. Yeah always check your hooks for sharpness. But also make sure you use mono, a med or med light rod if using graphite, and let the fish hook itself. Also remember that you will lose more fish with a crankbait than any other bait in your tackle box. :-/
  14. Welcom fellow fisherman!!!
  15. Bassmaster and In-Fisherman are great and I enjoy reading both, I would get a subscription to both if you can afford it.
