  1. Went back to Cook Pond Fall River yesterday and had my best day this year so far. Water was 70.4 degrees. Started throwing buzzbaits just after 6am and had 3 fish in the first 15-20 casts. As I started approaching lily pads I switched over to frogs and continued to get blowups but missed a lot more fish. The top water bite tapered off around 8am then I started dragging a Zoom lizard in black/emerald with a 1/2 tungsten bullet head. All I did was drag it with no other movement and the fish were taking it like crazy. From 8-10am I picked up another 12 fish anywhere from 10-15 inches with a 3.8 lunker for the day. I was off the water at 10:45am to attend Memorial Day activities.
  2. I don't know what kind of boat you have but when that happened to my boat I had to pull the whole floor off to get to the bolts at the bottom of the base. I installed a whole new base. Try Marvel Mystery Oil then put ice bags around the pedestal so it retracts and see if that helps loosen it up.
  3. I'm pretty sure Triton has a few aluminum bass boats under 10K.
  4. Fished Ashumet on Saturday. Water was 64. One small fish. Fished Cook Pond Fall River Sunday. Water was 67. No fish on the beds I saw. Caught plenty of fish like Tate. Zoom horny toads in lily pads and trick worms over mossy grass.
  5. Being from Mass and working in the fishing industry since I was 16, I constantly hear rumors that Charlie Moore is a lousy self centered person. He dropped a lawsuit on a tackle shop when they named themselves Mad Fish Outfitters and had to change their name to Bad Fish Outfitters. I personally don't know the guy but I don't think he is funny at all. I just don't like loud, close-talkers aka the raincoats.
  6. Shimano makes a nice water/boat shoe called the Evair. I wear the Bimini Bay Marlin deck shoes which is basically a knockoff.
  7. teaching people how to fish based on reading and understanding your sonar.
  8. I always have a wacky rigged Senko on a rod. I refuse to go home skunked.
  9. In the 6 years I've owned my boat, I've used Everstart(Walmart), Interstate and Diehard. The Diehard batteries were my most reliable at just over $100. I dropped down to a group 24 battery for my trolling motor and the Diehard preformed better them my group 27 Interstate.
  10. You can try NADA for a place to start.
  11. I'll be honest with you. I've never done much research on Quinsig due to the fact I always thought there was either a 20hp or 25hp limit. You learn something new everyday. I am still going to fish Flint pond because I always assumed it was treated as a different body of water with different rules.
  12. I've put about 20hours on the water so far. Same pond. 19 fish 12"+ 1 4lb'er tons of dinks
  13. I have a v hull with very limited storage so I purchased the best tackle bag I could get. Plano Hydro-Flo I must say this is the best tackle bag I've ever seen. The quality is top notch and durable. In the garage, I just use the plastic drawers that college kids use from wal-mart
  14. I went out yesterday afternoon letting the water warm up and was able to pull 11 fish on topwaters and when the sun cast a shadow on the western shore, I was able to pick up fish on a Yuki bug/shakey head combo. They were tight on brush piles in 4-6ft of water. Nothing big but at least it kept me busy. I fished from 3:30 -7:30pm
  15. I just fish really stained water so I can't tell if they came off a bed.
  16. I'm a little confused. Are we talking about a lake that is private and only contains summer homes with some sort of association enforcing rules or man made pond that is stocked?
  17. I am fortunate enough to have in-laws with a house on a private lake and always enjoy fishing there. I don't think anyone here would decline a chance to fish a low-pressured hole.
  18. My lower unit usually does a good job.
  19. My only spin rig is my senko set-up( 6'6" custom MHX with Stradic CI4 2500) I use it for skipping Senkos wacky under tree overhangs and docks.
  20. 3148 miles The distance UPS will travel getting from TW to my house.
  21. For regular football heads I use Revenge and for shake-e I use either the Strike King or Picaso
  22. It took me a couple of years to learn how to pitch with confidence. I can now pitch with both left and right hands with tension turned completely off. I can only flip with my right hand though. Practice, practice I find myself pitching almost all the time I make any cast less than 10 yards now.
  23. How's Santuit for launching a v-hull boat?
  24. Thanks for the info guys. I like to drive to boat ramps before I actually fish to see if launching is feasible. I will drive to Flint on Friday evening to see the ramp condition. If there is one boat that doesn't do well on shallow ramps, it's mine.
