  1. still gotta figure out why they put centrifugal brakes on the inshore. that's the big mystery on the TT forums. I think I'll wait til they come out with a nice magnetic. I personally feel really uncomfortable having to tinker with centrifugals
  2. What do you guys think are the best frogs for walking? Go ahead and enlighten us with any experiences regarding frog action (or lack thereof) if you'd like to. Lately, there have been a lot of "open water" frogs comin out that I haven't heard much or very specifically about: Barinsky, Furbit, River2Sea Croaker, Cover jack... And of course it seems everybody likes those Bronzeyes, and some the Swamp Donkeys. I have yet to gather much specific information about their relative actions.
  3. Dude Airrus has a lifetime warranty if you kept all your paperwork together when you bought it. I'll bet if you call them they'll replace or repair. I think rods are supposed to take fish bites http://www.rodsbyairrus.com/rods_warranty.html
  4. Yeah, man. Lowest prices, hard to find, top of the line stuff, free shipping, the works. I've even been considering gettin an Airrus and Delo's has been a huge find for me. I can't wait to try out those evolution jigs.
  5. OH wow completely forgot to tell you guys. If you are judging by price, I have a very good option for you. http://www.deloscustomtackleshack.com/ Go here, pick your Revo, and type the name of the revo in the voucher code in your shopping cart! (recalculate to see) "revos" for Revo S $10 off "revosx" for Revo SX $20 off "revostx" for RevoSTX $20 off And free shipping ;D. I haven't purchased from this guy but I've been planning on doing so. I hear it's some great customer service since it's so small, and they carry some pretty hard to find stuff! Namely: -Cavitron Buzzbait -Evolution Jig
  6. Oh man, how come I haven't heard about that thing! I wish it came in lefty. Yet another great Revo option to look forward to.
  7. I know for sure that the spinning reel is pretty high quality. smooth like butter. most who use it relate it to the PTi's feel, but I'm not sure. stop by your tackle shop and try some out. if you've got a bass pro shop around, you can try all the reels you want.
  8. How noticeable do you think the difference is between the SX and the STX, accuracy and distance wise? I've been wondering this for a while, and I haven't heard much from people who have em both. Also, I've read a couple customer reviews sayin that the brakes on these things are REALLY light (I think everybody's used to centrifugal). What's your opinion here? Only for the experienced?
  9. There is no such thing. The higher the quality you buy the easier your experience will be and less likely you will get frustrated - Agree 100 % unless you end up buying a pixy and up overrunning the bujebus out of yourself first cast?
  10. Ugly stiks are great for the money. I haven't tried any of the big stuff, but I started out bass fishin on one of the 5'6 spinners. Those things'll probably last you a lifetime. I wouldn't recommend throwing anything even remotely big with those smaller models, though. The taper is slooow, and the action is pretty danged light. Ask somebody else about the bigger ugly stiks for lure fishin. I just know those really cheap sets will actually do some good for your finesse game.
  11. If it's a BPS reel, it should be really easy to take out the spool if you just look at your manual. My first baitcaster was a Rick Clunn and I took the whole thing apart down to the clutch switch to relube it. They should have a complete assembly diagram in the manual if you REALLY don't want to send it back to the store. If it's from BPS, though, they're fantastic with workin on their own reels. If it's your first year owning it, it's even still under warranty!
  12. just like Burley said. Different line, different lb test to thickness ratio. Check the measurements. Sufix makes some thin stuff, you can try that.
  13. that guy's voice was hilarious. but the bait looks delicious.
  14. http://www.boatersworld.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/SearchView?storeId=10051&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&keyword=thunderstick&x=0&y=0 haha when I heard your question, I immediately thought of Boater's World. I was surprised to see em there. Of course, their whole online business is kind of a mess so try and see if there's one nearby you that you can drive to. It's much easier to special order from the store if they're not in stock than to order online.
  15. If jitterbugs work then this definately will: Daiwa Drown Cicada Man do they only have those things in Russia or something? I just looked em up and I haven't seen a single english result
