  1. I've got a Lowrance LCX-18C and it's great. If you're cost conscious, I would look at Eagle as they are made by Lowrance. In fact, most of them are past Lowrance models.
  2. It reads from the transducer unless you calibrated your unit. You can calibrate your depth finder to read either from the Transducer, or the surface--your choice. It should be covered in your manual if you still have it.

  4. Minnesota: Recommend contacting Mark (317) 398-9294 at Mark's Props to seek a recommendation. He's one of the best out there.
  5. LunkerGuy: I have the TZX 190 and have never experienced water over the sides. Actually, I've never had water come in the boat even when running in really rough stuff. As for the water over the stern...dead on, if you jump out of the throttle it'll wash to the driver's seat. The console takes a bit of getting used to as you're right about the console being low (I'm 5'10"). It took me a bit getting used to stretching my legs out when in the seat. I've never thought about the issue with the front pedestal mount and fortunately, it has never been an issue for me. I will say it is the best fishing platform I have ever owned.
  6. I can ditto everything said. Once you have them, you'll never want it any other way. I was nervous about the hotfoot, but once you get used to it, it is really nice.

  8. Having fished out both metal and glass, there is really no comparison. In my opinion, it must be the weight difference as the glass provides a superb platform in even really terrible conditions.
