  1. Doesn't matter, considering she brought it off the streets like that is extremely shady. I bet she wouldn't have cared if it was stolen or not.She thought she was getting a deal. You know police department can take it away rather you know if it was stolen or not.I had a friend buy a motor cross bike from a guy only to find out it was stolen and the cops gave him hell for it.He ended up losing the bike and lost $500(what he paid for it) as well. The people he brought it from moved away. They managed to track down a 3 year stolen bike.
  2. You can get into some serious trouble for buying stolen goods. I'm surprise she was even able to report this and not get in trouble. You cannot buy something off the street like that.
  3. Watching an item brings unwanted attention to the item and more people will bid on it.A chance of catching a deal on it then is slim to none.I only use sniper if I'm not gonna sit around watching for it.3-4 days prior to the auction ending. You still only have a 50/50 chance of winning an item even with sniping. Sniping nice to have if you find an item, put your max bid in and not check back on ebay again. If the price is still lower than your MAX bid,it'll put your bid in and sometimes you have a better chance of winning it.There's no guarantees.
  4. yeah,I use a sniper program also. Mine however costs money to use it. I've won a few items and some decent deals with it.
  5. yeah frozen water and Bass season closed here. I'm with you on sticking with summer.
  6. My question is who waits that long for a smoothie? If I don't get mine within 15 minutes I'm asking for my money back. Me and My wife got one yesterday and it only took Carver's employees less than 2 minutes...LOL.I must say they were pretty awesome too.
  7. Try paycheck transporter frog and let me know if you still feel the same way.
  8. I find that rumor false. But schools, specially smallmouths will move a lot! 2 days this year I had the same day you did...would catch them left and right for about an half an hour to an hour then the bite would be gone. Many of times you need to be moving down to keep up with the bite. Something to think about. I'm in the same situation as you I'm shorebound. So sometimes you can only move so far to the point you can't reach em' anymore.
  9. Walmart has owner hooks? I'm shocked. I don't have any problems with my owner hooks. It's about all I use too.All hooks will rust if stored improperly. You sure they were Owner hooks?
  10. That's not true either...Michigan has no size limit and it's illegal to do it also.
  11. If it does bother you that much, talk to your wife and let her know how you feel about it.You and your wife has to be on the same page too.I agree your wife need to talk to them, they'll take her more seriously specially if the both of you are saying the same thing.
  12. Giving him candy cigs is like telling him "smoking is cool". I did it when I was a kid, with my parents knowing. Then I grew up and starting actually smoking....because I still thought it was "cool". Because mom and dad were doing it Kids don't forget....matter of fact they mimic everything adults tend to do.Which can make matters worst. P.S. do not lose your temper...Calmly explain to him what it is and why it's bad or use the word "yucky". If you want to install your morals to him you have to set an example for him. It's gonna be for the rest of your life.Doesn't hurt to start young. I have/had anger issues.....and now my kid is blowing up like i did....Big wake up call for me.I'm actually going for help trying to control my anger as well..I don't want my kid being angry like I was. I always try to remind myself of that Rodney Atkins,Watching You song. It's a very true song.
  13. I have to trim my nose, ears and eye brows at least every 2-4 weeks. It's horrible....I'm not even that "old" yet.... My kid asked me last week "Dad,looks like you going to have to start going to bald school".
  14. I'm lucky to get one 4 pounder a year. Shore bound, lack of fishing because of home and work schedule.I live next to Canada and it gets cold,Bass season...yeah....I'll take what I can get. I haven't been fishing in over 2 weeks now(that's another story). I'm dieing to cast a line tonight as soon as the "Queen" gets home from work. I don't think some of you guys realize how lucky ya'll are.
  15. Hooked to the crotch...... It didn't say it penetrated him though..lol
  16. When i first started fishing stickbaits I was fishing them too fast for the most part.I'm like Alpster,I fish them painfully slow sometimes. My big one of the year came off a curly tail worm sitting for over 3 minutes before she decided it looks good enough to eat. Couldn't tell you how many times I lost my focus on what I'm doing and a couple of minutes later my line starts swimming off.
  17. I don't agree the tube baits can't be worked back on the bottom and only should be used as a drop shot bait. You are missing out on some great, great fishing if that's how you only work a tube. Tube can mimic a crayfish or even a goby and we work our baits on the bottom.Probably one of the more popular baits in Michigan is the tube bait. Try a weightless tube in calm water and jerk that back to you. I think you might be surprised at the results.
  18. This is the second complaint now. I got a few deformed grubs....They still work...so it doesn't bother me.
  19. Bingo! My buddy cannot use my rod either.....it was just not his preference. He couldn't get used to it unfortunately.
  20. Wide gap and finesse jig are my favorites. Wide gaps get either chunks or paca craws as trailers and the finesse jigs get the smallest craws I can find.FLW made some great mini craws that are now gone. I'm gonna bet a good 80-90% of my jigs in my boxes come from him.
  21. Thanks for sharing. The scenery looks absolutely stunning.
  22. I like something with a little bit of vibration to it. With rain comes mud and the water tends to stain up a little bit. I think the vibration helps and plays a big key in finding the fish.
  23. I surprisingly picked the same one out last weekend. I have a small lake here where bluegill is the main forage for the bass. It's not a deep lake by any means. The bait looks like a winner for this lake, but we'll see how good it'll work. Might help me gain some confidence in using crankbaits too.
  24. While I can see where you are coming from, but the ones I buy from Walmart seems to be where I get most of my messed up baits.Since I use the fat albert grubs and I mean a lot of them,I want to say about 30% of them has been found messed up. But for $2 & some change I'm willing to let it go since they do catch fish.
  25. While it works,it's still not fool proof. I lost one fish performing that this year.Granted it the only fish so far I've lost since finding out about this. I think it stressed the fish out the short time I was doing this.It just went belly up. I tried reviving the fish first, still didn't work.
