Much as I love Luck E strike plastics baits...even I stay away from the hard bait selection.
$7.99 really isn't that cheap when comparing to most baits on the market. So how bad can it really be?
Mine work fine as as intended. Brought for toothy critters mainly.
The scale is in 1/2 pound increase. So you don't really know the exact weight in oz.But you can get a close enough weight if you are not picky.
WOW! Now that's a surprise.I usually carry a UL with me as well,if I miss a bite I can almost always catch it with the UL combo with a smaller bait.90% of them come back as rock bass or bluegills.
I'm at 50% bite to catch. I usually blame bluegills, rock bass and smaller fish that can't exactly inhale the entire lure for many of those missed bites. The biggest mistake I see people doing is recasting and wasting time on the spot after a bite they never will catch.
Under 100.
I only fish for bass from late April-October. I did better this year from shore than I did the previous years. I know I could have had way more if I had something to get on the water. So my Goal now is to figure out how I can get on the water next season.
Looks like I'm already done here in Michigan. Too busy with work and family now. I'd be lucky to get out one or two more before it ices over on the lakes. My hands get cold way too fast and it really isn't much fun or even really worth my time going out at that point.
Usually I'm done right before Halloween.October,November and December are usually busy months for me.Then I can't start fishing for bass again till Bass Season*(C & R only) opens here which is usually on the last weekend of April.
yes...I've lost more curly tails than I care to count to bluegills.
Turtles are also known to cut a bait in half....I've reeled in crayfish imitators plastics with the head and claws bit clean off.
There's one place where a train runs through every couple of hours or so and it has never effected the fishing for me. It makes quite a rumble and shakes the ground pretty good.
I think if it's an common,I think they adapt to it. Then again It's all my opinion and I'm no biologist.
Ouch,I ripped off mine when i was skateboarding.Going down this steep hill and somehow my middle finger went under the wheel and ripped it clean off.It did grow back just fine.
Looking at your story, you are lucky you didn't wrap your hand into it. You could have lost much more than a thumb nail.
Every year....once the bite stops happening for me from shorefishing,I'm done. There is a small window of opportunity....you have to be there at the right time.Like you said it's gonna either be hot or very slow. That's the ups and downs of fishing in the Fall. Spring and Summer is actually my favorite time to fish.Only because I've been at it long enough I've developed a pattern of where the fish will kinda be at.
My rabbit wasn't that cool.....far as I can remember it never really did anything cool.Matter of fact I think I got bit by it.
I ate mine for dinner one night.About the only memory I really have of it was it did taste pretty good.
Said it once and I'll say it again. Nope!!!
As much fun and great it may sound to fish professionally for a living,It would turn old real quickly. Some people could do it,I'm not one of them.It takes a lot to be a professional at something like that.
I never throw my used/beat up baits in the water...They go in my pocket and in the trash at home.
Senkos can really swell up too....I haven't tested out any other baits and how bad they swell up,but i know senkos are pretty bad.
During this time of the year,It's a lot! I think I'm already done for the season...this is the 3rd week now I haven't done any fishing.Work, family and among other things are keeping me way to busy...Sadly
It's a hobby and my wife seems to understand that.
However.....I cannot get a boat till I get her a house first. Guessing another 2-3 years before that happens.
I'm not going anywhere near it.....That thing is just plain too expensive to me.I fish from shore,so you know how easy it would be for me to lose it or should I say lose that many lures all at once?
So I'm going to be one of those guys not throwing the alabama rig anytime soon. I don't see the point in it in my situation.
I'm not sure it legal here?
Thank you,Thank God!
Now I love you! Dick's here usually uses orange stickers as sale items. If I find a Curado for $65 at dicks...I'm gonna ask somebody once....if they say "That's the right price"...buy it and let it go.It's all about having a peace of mind for me.
