  1. Yes,just found out this morning. The little boy is improving and went home with the grandparents. Definitely good news there. His mother's viewing is today and funeral tomorrow.
  2. His grandparents. His grandfather's a good guy and about the best choice for him. To be quite honest. Recent update from wife who just got back, says it's looking like the little guy will pull through. Only time will tell now,he's pretty banged up with broken bones and head injuries. My kid goes to Mott's as well for his autism problems among other things and I agree with you Nick76,it's the best place to be as far as medical attention goes.
  3. My wife's cousin was killed when the driver of truck lost control on a icy highway. The truck rolled and she was thrown out of the vehicle. She has an 18 month boy who is in critcial condition in mott's children hospital. The father died last year. The boy if survives is now without both parents. http://www.mlive.com/news/jackson/index.ssf/2011/12/infant_son_of_woman_killed_in.html Please slow down and be careful out there as winter is fast approaching. For many it's already here. Thanks, Matt
  4. I know a few friends who were addicted to the stuff.
  5. Regardless of what everybody is saying, nothing is wrong with an ugly stick. My buddy has a very limited cash spending and all he pretty much fish with is an ugly stick. He does no worst or better than I do who uses a $150 rod. Yes there are better rods out there.Nobody will deny that, but ugly sticks are not going out of business anytime soon.A lot of people like ugly sticks. My buddy loves his, regardless how much I talk about other rods to him.He just won't hear of it. Matter of fact once in awhile he gives me a hard time about all the money I spend on my set ups. LOL He can give me a whipping when he is using crankbaits or jerkbaits. It's hard to beat a ugly stick in that price range for that technique. He loves that soft tip it has.
  6. I haven't. Big fan of their hard baits though. The transporter frog is my favorite frog.Where did you hear they will start making soft plastics?
  7. I've heard of this story before. Not sure if this is the same story same man.Very few people these days show compassion like that anymore.
  8. I may have to stock up on some more P-line CXX in 6# test. It's all I use on my spinning set ups.
  9. Nope I'll drop you like a bad habit. I go out with my buddy and we never pick on each other who's got the biggest or the most.Instead we are usually helping each other out. Swapping secrets or techniques. High 5's go around when we catch a good one. I'm out there to have fun. I'm not in competition to be honest.
  10. It was your older article that got me inspired to fish with live crayfish. I had a lot of fun with them this year including a couple channel cats on that rig.
  11. Screw the cookies,I'll just take the bottle of crown royal.
  12. I do something similar, but with Walmart plastic boxes. I've got around 9 of those and can get anywhere from 30-40 bags(depends) per container in them. They fit nicely on a little shelve in our spare bedroom(dubbed partly as my fishing room).
  13. Like tech n9ne? Check out the group "57th Street Rogue Dog Villians". Old school tech n9ne before he found popularity.
  14. I'm pretty mixed.Whatever songs good I'll listen to it. Rap(mostly old school),Country(new and old),R&B,horrorcore rap & Some rock.
  15. I've never seen a smallmouth spit up bluegills here either.Crayfish on the other hand is a different story. Not to say they won't eat a bluegill though.I just never seen it happen to be honest. Worms or crayfish would be the better choice for smallmouths.
  16. Fishing is fishing rather using live bait or artificial. I got nothing against live bait. I use Live crayfish myself. Don't care what anybody else thinks about it either. I deep hooked one fish this year and it was on artificial. It was a smaller bass and under the limit...I had no choice to let him go dead in the water.I felt bad. I'm sure the birds or a turtle got it...so it didn't really go to waste in my eyes.
  17. Very rarely,Since I'm on the bank I get them to the shallowest part of the water and lip them from there. 1lb or under i do sometimes,I usally drag em' in though.
  18. That's awesome, buying your pop stuff. *thumbs up*
  19. Wife's Birthday is today...Buying myself something instead of the wife's birthday present is like signing my death warrant. And I'm not ready to die yet.... I'm not doing the black Friday this year. I really don't want or need anything.
  20. The mind of an drunk....I'm stealing this one. Hilarious!
  21. I'm amazed you can even cast it on a MH rod...LOL I use 1000-2000 type reels with a medium light rod.Spinning only. I can't do baitcaster that light....I'll spend more time picking out backlashes than I would casting the thing.
  22. Must have for me is the fat Albert grub. I never left home without it this year. And consistently caught fish every time I went out with this rigged up.
  23. You know,I bet if you look hard enough you can find somebody that can refurbish your old baits. It might be a little bit pricy to do that, but your bait will be good as new again.
  24. Was 10,hooked a #4 or #6 hook in my right arm after my line got caught in spool and flung back at me. I shielded my face and the hook caught my arm. It cost my dad $175 in the ER to remove it...LOL(How i still remember that is beyond me.) Happened back in 1985. I've been lucky so far and haven't hooked myself since.
  25. I've been looking for a replacement for my little FLW craw baits. This looks to be the ticket.
