  1. I speak from experience (or at least my from my dad's jaw...) It doesn't matter if the bass are blowing up behind the boat - Don't cast over your partner's head, or have him in your back cast. Murphy and his law show up in boats, too. Turn the boat first We have a rule of 45's now - look at your partner, and from 45 to the left and right off are off limits to both forward and backwards - but especially backwards.
  2. I got some bags made by bw sports that i got at sportsman's warehouse - one is a single, the other a double that i found later - you put a strip of velcro on the bottom of original packaging (or replacements) and stick them in - you can rearrange and flip just like a rolodex I haven't posted enough times to post images, just copy and paste thisbeitz.com/images/pics/bagflat.jpg thisbeitz.com/images/pics/bags.jpg
  3. You should be able to get a rod the same size as the axle is/was, put it through the hub and lash it to each of the footpegs with some rope - you might be able to get away with some spring clamps, but i'd go with the rope
  4. Second hand information from a friend that was there last week... With the water as high as it is, they're real spread out - they did pretty well with small chartreuce spinnerbaits with copper blades thrown in and around cover
  5. I texas rig them with a real light bullet, 3/0 offset, but i pinch a quarter or an half inch off - the front tends to last a little longer going through a slighty larger section of the worm, and the bullet sits flush against the flat nose, instead of the skinny point - i also push the worm up over my knot
  6. I was out in my sunflower (11 foot sailboat, yellow, easy to see) and a few jetskiers had fun running full speed past me several times. Fortunately, they were far enough away that I couldn't smack them with my paddle, because I was mad enough to... Being a sailor, I'm incredibly conscious of the rules of the water - unfortunately, some powerboaters and most jetskiers don't have that respect of those rules... Luckily, most (but too far from all) people use common sense and courtesy out on the water.
  7. The ponds in the park next to my house get a lot of folks that'll take pretty much anything big enough to fry out - but they seem to target bream and catfish, which is fine by me... - I always size up who I'm talking to, but I'm usually specific enough when asked, but vague enough not to give it all away - but I mostly go over there because it's close, and great for a break...
