  1. weightless Zoom trick worm....or tube...
  2. For weightless soft plastics I have a 6'6" med. spinning combo with 12lb mono. It works great...
  3. Well to start with READ everything you can then go out and try it. It really helps if you find some people around your age that likes to fish as much as you do and fish with them. Im 16 and my best friend is 18(weve known eachother since we were 11 or 12) and hes pretty much the only person I fish with anymore. He's taught me a lot and Im sure I have taught him a lot of things I knew too. I had fished since i was little but it was him who really got me into bass fishing...ive caught my PB with him there too.
  4. My uncle has a '98 175 Pro Team Bass Tracker. It has a 40 horse tracker motor. It has been garage kept and owned by an older man who bought it new. It looks brand new, everything works. We plan on doing a lot of fishing out of it and to get started into fishing tournys. He told a friend of mine that $4700 would buy it. Is that a good deal and would this boat meet the needs of an 18yo wanting to get into tourny(team and single) fishing?
  5. Zoom Trick worm= sand(very light) and baby bass(medium...) have been killer around here lately...
  6. Im trying to really start jig fishing. Ive had luck so far with the eakins jig in green pumpkin and a brown color.
  7. I caught a few frogs...if i caught a snake my line would be cut...i dont care how expensive of a lure it is... On the way home from a trip 2 weeks ago we saw a black snake so i pulled over n the guy i was takin home(thought he was gonna kill it) ran back n picked it up...he tried to have me let him take it home with him but there was no way in hell i was gonna let him get near me with that thing...it was about 5ft long...
  8. Dont drown lol ;D
  9. On dark days darker lures can be seen better by fish. On bright days you go with bright flashy baits.
  10. Nice fish. Still workin for my first here...
  11. Find ya a little jonboat for about $200 then another $100 in a trolling motor and you're set...
  12. I dont see a problem with it as long as your tires dont get wet.
  13. I saw my lil bro catch one one a roostertail. We were slayin them on t-rigged tubes about a month ago.
  14. To keep that huge mess of crappie fresh till you get home.....
  15. You could always rig up a cooler for a livewell...
  16. The only thing I really stick to brands with is hooks and plastics. My hooks are always gamakatsu and my plastics(especially worms and tubes) are zoom. Im confident in using them so they will always be in my box.
  17. Mainly trigged but sometimes wacky...
  18. Longer 6'6"+...med heavy-heavy with fast action.
  19. Zoom Trick worm- sand or baby bass.....been catchin a lot on these lately... I use 2/0 gamakatsu hooks...
  20. Gosh that 14' in that link is one nice boat. He deff. put some time in that thing...
  21. So basically its a vertical presentation. Sinker on bottom with the hook higher. What kind of baits are used for it? What kind of line? What kind of rod do you want for this situation?
  22. I dont know about takin the seats out of a flat bottom so I wont answer that one since i have no experience... Yea I love that boat lol. Now it has a rig on the very front for a foot trolling motor. We just put that part on so i dont have pics. Id go take some but its over on our ramp(river behind my house) and its dark out lol so Ill try and get some tomorrow morning if i dont have to work... oh yea we rigged up the back so the batterys stay back there and its wired to the front ;D Why are you wanting to put wood up then carpet??
  23. My opinion is you should send some my way for some field testing I really like those with the flat paint.
