  1. Definetly!!!! You PAY for the motor, the peice of fiberglass thats attached is just a signing bonus. Make sure its a good strong engine FIRST, then look at the other features of the boat.
  2. A good way to peg your sinker without ruining anything is to when your done tying your knot, take the tag end and tie it to the line just above your bullet weight. It makes a perfect stopper without sacrificing line strength and usefulness.
  3. Drop shot fishing is really finesse fishing, but a finesse worm worked deep inot thick cover on tough days can produce HAWGS!
  4. Joe Thomas is my fav pro, I love his TV show and also miss it, cant wait till august!
  5. The Banana Boat sunscren i mentioned has Titanium Oxide/Zinc Oxide
  6. Boats dont last THAT long. A boat will a while, but things always continually break or just need replacement. Boats have very LOW resale values. But also it depends on whos buying it and what part of the country your in. Up in WA, a boat for 8,000 up here migh only be 4,500 in Alabama.
  7. LMS Series by far! those are sweet!
  8. I Tan Easy and get sunburned very easy!!!!!!! The BEST, ABSOLUTE BEST sunscreen I use EXCLUSIVELY is Banana Boat SPF 30 Ultra Sweatproof. It is perfect for fishing in those hot days and have yet to get burned with it on.
  9. Whats your most productive pattern ever? and when was it in the year? Weights and total fish caught? Something like that magical day you just whacked them?
  10. If your having a tough day, take a small 1/8 oz. weight and texas rig a Small finesse Craw such as the KGM Delta Bug or 3D shot craw. Slowly let it crawl over the stocks of the lilly pads.
  11. This wasnt a real superstition or jinx but, On 5 straight occasions this happened to me. Fishing with a club guy in tourney, PROCRAFT 210 SuperPro, Mercury EFI 200. I mention to him that his motor is really nice and it runs really smooth, put on the life jacket to go to another spot and it doesnt start and we have to raise the orange flag to tow in? Again with a Cajun 160-Mercury Tracker 75 Nitro 2000DC-Evinrude XP 200 Bass tracker 170-Evinrude SPFL 60 Grumman 1881-Evinrude 50 Every dang time I mention the outboard and something good about it, It dies, we either get towed in, or wait 30 minutes for inspection and quick Fix, either/or it ends up in the shop. I truly dont know how the heck this happened. I have mentioned it plenty of times now since and it hasnt happened so it really isnt a Jinx anymore.
  12. FISHERMAN!!!! My club, everytime somebody caught a 4 1/2 lbs. plus smallmouth, the kept it in the livewell with the Aerator on and some rejuvanade and release them onto a couple banks at a local Largemouth Heaven that could sustain Smallmouth. they started this in 1997 and ended in 2000 but more than 50 smallmouth over 4 1/2 lbs. were released into this lake per year and now you can go and catch some HAWG smallmouth, not very many, but HAWGS. and it even made the Largemouth Fishery even BETTER
  13. Anybody know what the exact Equation is for the Fish Weight Calculator on the website. Because me and my jr. club are going to hold some small tournaments and it going to be paperboard but we want weights so we decided to use the Bass Calculator method. Just need the Equation.
  14. Up here in WA, the main species crawfish molt 7 times a year, and it is a staple color to get a Green Pumpkin with Blue Highlight and Black Specks. as a soft plastic. REaction innovations calls it Magic Craw Swirl or somethin. But KGM Custom Baits pretty much just calls it WA CRAW. So if your lookin for soft plastics in their true molting color, hit up KGM.
  15. I have at least 2 of these in each box, They REALLY WORK!
  16. My stepdad has the keelguard, it pretty nice. Though I have seen the HAmby's Protector and its wider and is a bit tougher material. But the KeelGuard is pretty easy to install.
  17. Fishing the very end of a luanch ramp can be very productive at times, Excellent during dawn and dusk. Also Fish may be suspend under boats, most of the time I find them in the Jointed post where the dock is creating a 90 degree angle.
  18. SHOULD WORK GREAT! my stepdad has a 1997 Chevy Blazer 4.3L, not a 4 wheel drive or z24. and we tow around a 17 foot Fiberglass Fish/Ski all over the place without problems.
  19. BASS ARE CRAZY! during the spawning season for walleyes, walleye patterned Shad Raps KILL!
  20. Light sinkers, Light Line. Also use smaller Baits with brown or green colors. For reaction baits, work faster because then the fish can only see it for a split second to make a decision, instead of letting it sit there having a 4 pound smallie counting the scales on your new lucky craft!
  21. As my grandfather would say, "Lits go fishin with some topwaders, cranbaits, gigs, Tinbaits, ans sum of those new slinkos and charterbaits and gits us a hog" Mind you my grandfather never finished Hih scool
  22. WAY TO GO! I am pretty sure that the chances of anyone of us catching a fish that big is like saying I am going to be the next Einstien! : GREAT ACCOMPLISHMENT!
  23. If It is a Pond, any Vegitation at all is a good bet, it is a good source of Oxygen, so it will attract bass. Also DRAIN Pipes or Inflow Pipes are good places to hit.
  24. Denny BRauer, Joe Thomas, Fish Fishburne and the Linders
