  1. ever tried the 854? Would it be the same thing just little shorter? Just personally like shorter rods for ease of transportation
  2. I have 4 on the 16” side and nothing on the 13” sides. Could prob at very least fit 1 more if not two. That’s something! so for the 894c, that’s a good pick for fishing moderate cover? Most likely using a 1/2 oz jig. Could the 854 handle that you think? I just personally prefer shorter rods to fit in my car
  3. I have the 16x13, figured trying to put 2 rod holders on the back latch side would cause issues but yours looks like it works just fine. You just installed same as the others? I have a pdl 120 so tankwell is pretty similar
  4. thanks brother. You’ve been super helpful on all my posts
  5. thanks this is good info. So if I pick up an 894 I could some days decide to leave the 873 at home and the 894 could pull all the 873 duties + some? Also ever tried using it for like kaera frogs? also how are you fitting 14 rods in the yak?! I have the blackpack pro and 8 tubes on it. Do you also put tubes on the sides that open the hatch?
  6. What’s up y’all. Back again…. Any rods here seem redundant? The windbuster is new. Gonna see how I like it vs the 872 and then prob sell whichever I prefer less. Thinking my next rod should be an NRX+ 894c, other issue is I can’t bring all of these on the yak with me each time out. Think 894 is the right pick or go a different route? Is it too similar to the 873? Looking to find something for jigs in cover and would love if it could handle some frogging duties in sparse grass as well. 7. Anyone try out the new orochi x10 swamp survivor? Seems like it might be exactly what I’m looking for
  8. Definitely agree! Haven’t pulled the trigger yet thankfully since the 7’3 XH is out of stock at my dealer… this is awesome info and I really appreciate it. To be honest I currently haven’t no interest in throwing big swim baits. Just not my style and too expensive for my taste right now. I’m more of a finesse guy anyway, even thinking about throwing into semi heavy cover spooks me a bit lol. That 7’4 Heavy I feel like is the better fit for me. Will help me start/get comfortable throwing some smaller sized A-rigs, handle my frog needs, and learn pitch/flip into some of the weedy covers I face here in NJ Yeah man that p5 wind buster is super intriguing and I’m really tempted to pick it up. I just haven’t gotten to use my 842/872 yet to see if I really need it or not. I mainly want it to just be a dedicated free rig rod, I have most of my other bases covered. But hoping the 842 can handle that and keep my 872 with a Shakey head on it most of the time
  9. have heard good things about that. THU tkl on yt put out a review saying bandersnatch is just a shorter version of the javelin so feel like it’ll be perfect for me
  10. I actually did some research and a bunch of people are loving the new orochi x10 bandersnatch and Omnia has a sweet sale on em right now so I picked that up. Apparently great for cranks, chatters, square bills and a lot of other reaction baits so gonna give it a go! Plus agree - like the cork handles bit more Yeah think I’m gonna go with the 7’3 XH. Think it’ll open up more in my lineup! Appreciate the insight!
  11. Crankbaits another one of those no confidence baits for me and that I’ve been putting off. Definitely on the list. Hear good things about that madbull
  12. I have a good deal on an 894 as well. Just feel like it’s a little too close to my 873, maybe slightly heavier application but wasn’t sure if it would really open up that heavy cover pitching/frogging duties like the Expride 7’3 XH or 7’4 H will
