  1. I just got this, picked it up the other day, too cold to fish! LOL 94 Champion 186 with a 95 Mercury 175 EFI. She needs some love, but I plan on taking it out as soon as weather lets me.
  2. I have one, I got a bass boat seat and replaced the factory one. I go alone, so I only need one seat, Lots more comfortable. As to the anchor, I just put an eye bolt through the plastic upper lip, where the molded compartments are on top, sides. Just used lots of caulk around the bolt/washer. Seems to work ok.
  3. If you have room for it, they make a toilet seat that snaps on a 5 gallon bucket. They sell them at outdoors stores, They also make heavy bags that fit. Just find a secluded cove, no one can see. When you get back to the ramp, just dispose of it. If in a small craft, kayak or something, just find some woods on shore, always carry baby wipes or TP.
  4. The S&W shield 9mm is a good choice, I have trained women in the safety and use many times. They seem to function well. I might recommend, you go to a range, where the have rentals, she could get the feel, and choose the right one for her. Biggest mistake made when buying firearms for the spouse, is the guy buying what he thinks she may be able to use. Let her handle it, rack the slide, get a feel for it. Any quality gun shop can help her with this.
  5. Hello, I am looking at a boat, 85 Ranger 350-v, really well cared for. My question is the motor, it is a Johnson GT 150, runs great, they told me compression is 85-90 in all cylinders. Is this good? I am not knowledgeable about that sort of thing.
  6. I thank all the guys that responded here. Very good things to think about for sure. I am looking, hope to find something by next spring, but not going to get in a big hurry, it will happen when it happens. Thank all of you again.
  7. Thank you for your response. I will take that information with me for sure. I have thought about the aluminum transformation, that may be all I can do. But I am going to be looking for a bit, and try to find a boat like I once had. Yours looks very good.
  8. Hello, new here, I have been fishing a long time. I am older now, and find myself needing to buy another boat. I am on SSI, and don’t have a lot to spend, most of the boats I see are older boats. The ones I can afford anyway. I was wondering if someone could give me info on the fiberglass, I am looking at boats that seem in good shape, but what should I look for as far as the hull etc. any tips?
