Have been fishing since the mid 90' s got away from it for a few years then came back to it and am hoping to become a professional tournament angler within the next few years
I do as much research as possible ahead of time when I'm going to a new lake, then when I get there I check the local weather and water clarity and I tend to have a mix of lures in my arsenal to cover all three layers of the water column ( top, middle and bottom ) and that usually works decent for me.
Here in upstate NY where I live we've had a cold front come through a few days ago and it's been really foggy in the mornings the past couple mornings then warmed up to the upper 50s to mid 60s by early afternoon, haven't been able to fish but I'd be willing to wager the morning bite would be awesome till the fog burned off
Nice catch, @ 40 yrs old I've not had a chance to be out fishing for awhile due to work and other responsibilities that come w/ being an adult, however I'm hoping to get out fishing more in 2025 as I'm finding that I'm happiest when pursuing activities that bring me personal joy
Update to my earlier post to address a grammar/ spelling error;
I'm on the pro staff/ team for both Toad Thumper lure Co. & Kistler custom rods and I've been very happy with both of the pro staff/ team opportunities and the products I've purchased from these companies!!!😁
That's neat however I'll stick to doing the math on my catches myself I'm not fully convinced that the programers have completely found and addressed all the faults of AI at this point in time
The gentleman I fished with till his passing a few years ago who was a bus driver for the county transit system here in the county I live in always said "patients always" meaning that no matter how difficult the situation always be patient and kind to others
