actually, kvd was designing that bait last feb, at the worcester mass show after hours he was throwing it in the test tank along with the king shad 5" swim bait, a good friend of mine, who supplies kevin with his rods and reels was with him, i will have a few of these in about two weeks, and it is the exact same lure that he used. i had the king shad almost 7 months before it hit the stores, still havent thrown it much.

your absolutely right about the spawning in the southern part of the state, big island on sat. all empty beds, alot of small fish, big ones went deep, nashua river, monday, empty beds, small fish in the shallows up tight to banks, biggest fish was 2.5 in laydown trees in 12' of water,, the conn river is my next tourney so i would assume that the big ones will be deep by the 24th of june, considering we will be getting 4 to 5 days of rain in the next week. any suggestions as to a game plan would be appreciated. thanks.

thanks for the tips, i was thinking of hangin around 1/2 and 1 mile island right outside center harbor, theres alot of big rocks there in about 15' of water then it drops down to 30 and 40 ', i've caught many there in the summer , i'm just hopeing they have moved in this far by then.

if i may ask, what was your aproach on winne last weekend, as far as what you used and where did you concentrate your fishing around (structure, deep water, points), i have a tourney for smallies up there on the 12th, and there is so much dead water on that lake, i'll take any edge i can get.
