  1. I’ve found there is almost no wrong way to fish them. And they work under nearly any circumstance or condition. The key is to have the right tool and presentation and even if you don’t it may still work. Next time you find yourself in high percentage area just try hopping it or simply dragging it along the bottom. Fish it almost just like you would a Texas Rig on the bottom. You can even take those VMC Rugby Jigs and just rig your favorite soft plastic on it. I like the Strike King Rage Bugs.
  2. Frogs, Buzzbaits and I want to finally figure out jerkbaits My usual mainstays are literally 5-6 different baits. Swimbaits (Magdraft and the Mayor) Magnum Zoom Lizards (pumpkin/chartreuse) Jigs (I catch 70% of my fish on jigs) Spinnerbaits
  3. Shuffield ran into some better fish in the end. I really don't care for FFS but that was interesting. I'll probably watch the final round tomorrow.
  4. I could have sworn they said Faircloth before P2 ended. But Faircloth is doing well without it. Shuffield is catching dinks.
  5. I saw this but I think I might try Seaguar JDM Grand Max when the spools of invizx run out. For fly fishing, a few years ago I stopped wasting money on branded fly fishing leader/tippet material and switched to InvisX. I save tons of money and get get far better performance.
  6. I sort of like this format. Faircloth is the only angler with FFS in the final period of the day and lets see if he can close the gap and get above the cut-line.
  7. Getting that catalog was one of the highlights of my winter as a kid. How do I get one?
  8. Maybe his Lawyer is Cousin Brad of Three Year Letterman fame.
  9. Duke? Hopefully you don't lose to Yale again
  10. It's a non zero number, but it's so small it's inconsequential. Part of the being among the elite is throwing you hat in the ring and having the desire to try to be the best. All of the best pro anglers are killers. That's part of the formula. Good point. He was an aspiring pro but put everything he had into getting to where he got to. But definitely wasn't an average joe.
  11. Average Joes? None. If they had the ability to do it they wouldn’t be average. There are probably lots of guys in the pro/semi pro ranks that could do it but have funding or time challenges.
  12. I would but I don’t watch Dook unless they are losing to us in the Final Four.
  13. I saw the title and you got my hopes up.
  14. I like him too. People just love to hate people who don’t fit the mold.
  15. He bought his license 3 minutes before submitting the fish on the Share Lunker app. I had no idea that Cerebral Tackle existed. It's like a TMZ Bass Fishing YouTube channel.
  16. Bass Talk Live which usually has a level headed take on things says there is a ton below the surface on this matter that will come out. That's good enough for me. I don't care for the guy but he should get treated fairly. This won't affect Ben's involvement in the new Angler's Review Group or whatever it is called with BASS. It's going to take months for the legal process to work itself out.
  17. Yeah he's from up your way. I pull for the CT guys too. Yankees can catch bass too.
  18. That's really going out on a limb LOL! He's a freaking machine. He's like the first pick in the NFL Draft and then some.
  19. Jake Paul is the perfect analogy. Ben always rubbed me the wrong way. I watched him way back when I still used facebook. He'd buy different small animals intended as pets from a pet store and feed them to the bass he kept in his garage. It just seemed stupid, pointless and inappropriate for some reason. After that I didn't have much use for him.
  20. A national fishing license would be fantastic. That being said. You can buy a license while on your boat with a cellphone and a credit card.
  21. And how many videos has Milliken already made about this? He’s a professional fisherman. If he didn’t have a valid license when he was fishing then that’s not good. Contest or not. Professionals keep their paperwork up to date. At this point he has to let the legal process play out. He has a very lucrative YouTube Channel it’s not like he doesn’t have the means to procure one. He makes enough money that he can basically fund his own Elite Series career independently which is to his credit. But it makes you wonder about him. These days it takes 5 minutes on a website to get one. This is on him. He’s not being targeted that’s ridiculous.
  22. It's not really any different than a golf club paying the PGA a sanctioning fee, or a promoter paying IndyCar, NASCAR or F1 a fee to host an event.
